App is Waiting for approval
We submitted the GoPano app to Apple last week and we are awaiting approval. Some people have begun receiving their optics and they should be able to use them as soon as the app is approved. We are receiving a few optics at a time and we are are shipping them out as we get them. We do expect a large quantity of the optics to be in the office next week and they will be in your hands as quickly as we are able to get them out of here.
Please login to the fulfillment website at kickstarter.gopano.com and make sure that your LEGAL first and last name are in the system. Additionally, international backers, please make sure you have a phone number as it is required for shipping. The optics will not be able to be shipped to you without the correct information. We know you are are all excited to get the GoPano micro and we need this to be able to avoid any further delays.
Pilot Run Completed
Hi All! This is a quick update to let you know that our initial pilot run of GoPano micros is now complete. We have 150 optics ready that will go out starting tomorrow to beta testers and a small number of buyers for retail outlets (got to make it in time for Christmas catalogs!). The remainder will be sent to general Kickstarter backers.
The pilot run is an important step in the production process. Now that all of the hardware components are complete, they need to be assembled. This run gives us important information on the right way to assemble optics without damaging the sensitive internal components, to have the ideal fit and finish, and to assure quality control. All this has to be done while maintaining a high throughput. Once all is said and done, our goal is to have a new optic coming off the line every 30 seconds!
Once they arrive back here in Pittsburgh, we have thousands of boxes waiting to deliver optics into your hands! Check in with your account on kickstarter.gopano.com to see when yours is in the mail.
