But Scott/Lunatik, as much as I love the case I got, I've gotta say the comments on pledges higher than the actual product, the long delays, the lack of communication/response on questions people have about their problems... It's bad publicity.

I finally get arround hunting for an audioport extender for my Beyerdynamics, but so far I only get 4-poles converting to 3, while I need a true 4 to 4 pole extender without a lot of added cable.

Can't seem to find one in Holland though, and internationally this is a rather tricky thing too.

Anyone found a fitting solution?

Hi, I know you asked us to deal direct with the email address you provided for the fact that I still I have not received my 5 case yet ( I live right here in Chicago). I got an email from someone, I responded and they said they'd check into it. Nothing since. I've been a big supporter of you guys but I'm running out of patience. I've been avoiding buy a LifeProof case for my 5 because of the Taktik.

Yesterday I pulled out my aluminum taktik, scared and bothered as f*** that I now too had some rainbow coloring going on in the lower right corner. Originally I thought it to be tension on the glass, but after a few hours the coloring spread to other parts of the screen as well, less intense too. After some hours more, it was nearly gone.

Most likely it is trapped humidity spread thin between two flat planes of glass, causing light to refract. The solution is to open the case, put them in an oven (turned off after being preheated to about 40 degrees Celsius/106-ish Fahrenheit) and let it dry for some time. Thoroughly
Don't touch, don't polish, just assemble and tighten in star-patterns with just a turn each time.

Should do the trick :)

David I think that it's a dead issue, they have made almost zero acknowledgment about issues with iPhone4 cases since they were shipped, they have been thoroughly concentrated on the iPhone5 and have neglected problems that have come up in the past, I have sent e-mails in the past and have received no update, and have asked about the issues several times on here in different comment areas and it has been ignored. I'm also getting disappointed in the quality of the case as they touted how well built it is but my charging port cover has almost ripped all the way through from use and it hasn't been a year yet, barely over 6 months. Honestly, I'm happy with the product I got, it definitely does what was advertised, but I'm disappointed in the lack of communication on known issues.

@David They sent out a Email a few weeks back, you should try contacting them because they will be shipping out a new front bezel in about 4-6 weeks with the problem fixed.

Thanks, Hans! Your pattern for tightening the screws did the trick with the moire pattern I was experiencing with my case. That's very useful information, since it is NOT what they tell you to do in the assembly instructions. Happiness!

Updates on a bike holder? What about the case I have been waiting on for months? It started as an order for a iPhone 4 case, I've changed to an iPhone 5 case but I doubt I'm buying one. I think I'm going to change my order to an iPhone 7 case as I really don't see myself getting anything before the iphone 7 comes out! Yes I am pissed off!

Ralph, I miss some structure in your post.

Being upset is one thing, but ordering and having to wait about a week is just the way it works. You should have some confirmation of your order from Lunatik, go from there, and have your money transfer details at the ready at that.

Ok First of all I am not a backer of the Iphone 5 case but I did purchase one off their site! Now the problem! They took the damn money out of my account and I still have no DAMN CASE! I emailed them they said we don't have it in our system but my bank account gets the money taken out?!?!?! So now I am out MONEY!!! Because this company cannot find out what is going on. Scott Wilson I am going to say this my other case that i had on my 4S was beautiful I loved it. Its why I ordered the Iphone 5 Case BUT NOW! Your company has ripped me off and they cannot even respond to me! IF this case actually gets to me ill be happy but to pay all the money that i did and i had to rushed shipped too and still nothing! This is a bunch of crap. I don't post stuff like this but I am so upset!

I was advised by Scott to contact Liz on why I haven't received nothing for neither my Wife Nor I....no case, no tracking number....nothing! After several emails back and forth with "Liz"... Which last I heard from her was 2/19/13... I even tracked down the dates my credit card was charged mine 7/22/13 and my Wife 7/24/13...... Liz advised I can't find it! Are you serious? I am a very patient person but when I hear things like this I loose it!
I either would like tracking....VALID....tracking numbers for both my wife and I or refunds for both of us within 24 hours.....I don't think this is too much to ask. either you have sent both of our cases and have tracking numbers or be a stand up company and process refunds for both of us!

One or the other.....at this point either one! We aren't that hard to find, I am sure we are the only people with our zip codes with our names that backed this project! If you have questions Scott feel free to call me!

Additional comments: Would be better to include a 3.5mm miniplug adaptor instead of interchangeable port covers. Lifeproof includes a custom waterproof adaptor for this very purpose. I use my iPhone with a headset on a daily basis. This needs to be an included component, or an upcharge option directly from Lunatik. Why leave your customers to figure out this problem on their own? Provide a complete solution, guys. I visited Radio Shack and searched Amazon - local shops did not have adapters that would fit, and the best option on Amazon ships from China - I won't have it for days, possibly weeks. Guys - if you're going to make design and usability compromises (and a tiny headphone port *IS* a compromise) - then provide a solution. Merely benchmarking your competition would have mitigated the issue. Instead, I need to remove the case - can't use it without an adapter, need to be ready for work on Monday. I went ahead and ordered the miniplug adapter from China ($5 delivered - would have gladly paid an extra $10 to Lunatik to have this option included with purchase). I'll give the case another shot when the adapter arrives. Also, need to nail the functional issues before diving in to aesthetic "bonus" parts. I don't need port covers in a bunch of colors, however I definitely need a headphone adapter. I'd even take extra screws before port covers... Also, I can't fix the GG issues. I was ready to remove the GG from the bezel, but it appears to be glued in. No guidance from Lunatik on this issue in the manual or anywhere else, as far as I can see. So, the case comes off. Perhaps you'll update a solution for the GG issues by then. My fear is that the GG issue is a tolerance problem - too much "float" inside the case results in uneven tension on the GG - which can lead to uneven stiction between the GG and the phone. No amount of careful cleaning, seating the phone in place, or tensioning the front bezel eliminates the problem. Bummer. Last but not least, what's the name of the company? Lunatik? Minimal? WiMo? My case says Lunatik. The Kickstarter page says Scott Wilson + Minimal. My tracking info says WiMo. Brand, guys. Hope this is helpful.

Received Taktik 5 yesterday. Want to acknowledge the changes/improvements vs. Taktik 4. Opened up the chamfer on the bezel around the screen - definitely helps - thanks! Lightning connector much easier to use than the 30-pin. The vibe switch seems a bit tighter - good. Home button seems easier to use - good. I also switched from aluminum to poly - much, much better. Can't figure out how to mitigate the GG issues. Tension? Moisture? If I can't eliminate the moire, the case will come off. Overall, the 5 is an improved product over the 4, but could probably benefit from overall size reduction - the case simply doesn't need to be this thick / have the screen recessed so far. It's not clear that the bulk is truly adding protection - For the price (i.e., SRP as shown on the website), it would be good to provide some specific performance guarantees, e.g., MIL spec or at least a specific level of drop performance (maybe I missed it). Overall, a unique design with a number of good ideas. Like any protective case, there are tradeoffs. Hope you guys continue to iterate and refine.

Re the question regarding the moire pattern I have both a white 4s bezel and a black one and have found that with proper tightening of the hex bolts the problem is minimal to none. Pattern is bottom right, left side middle, top right, bottom left, right side middle, top left. Also if desired a non glare screen protector on the phone between under the TakTik gorilla glass will eliminate that as well. Kinda defeats the purpose of the clear gorilla glass though. Per the vibrate switch, I have locked the switch in the up mode with a bit of paper and use either the accessibility setting to out the virtual button on the screen to access the vibrate mode etc or use the Do Not Disturb to silence the phone. Bit of a workaround however has made the phone work as intended. The virtual accessibility button also gives access to the home button and on/off if u r finding the buttons stiff to execute. They do soften over time. I have had my Taktik for 2 plus months now and have not gone back to any other case. Have a 5 case ready to go when my current contract is finishing later this year. I continue to get ?? Everytime I'm in a public place where others see the case. It truly is in a class by itself!!

Received mine and put it on my phone. The glass attracts fingerprints like crazy and there is a VERY noticeable moire pattern over a good portion of the display. Is this a known issue? Is there a way to work around it? It's bad enough that I'm thinking of ditching the case.

I received by Taktik 5 today and LOVE it! The only issue that I have found is that the gorilla glass is a major fingerprint magnet. Anyone have any suggestions like Rain-X or something that could help with this? All in all, it looks incredible!

Case arrived today and is on the phone. How much water protection does it have? Uncertain, the back has the lens and LED exposed. The vibe button is short as another said below me, gotta press hard til it activates. Sound, no problem, the feel of gorilla glass is super smooth. Power button needs some pressure, same as the volume. Certainly my headphones won't fit, Bose IE2i due to its L shaped connector, very sad, will have to figure out how to get this functioning, a headset extender etc. since they are a beauty. Power docks like the elevation dock might not work due to the tab. Pressing the corners of the screen will take adjusting to. Due to its new width, it's difficult to use with one hand, and I have average hands.
It should have came with the lanyard.
And now, back keep playing around.
Remember, It was built for toughness, it has it.
