"One & Done" is a multi-episode web-series that follows the misadventures of Jeff as he navigates life as a 30-something singleton.
"One & Done" follows the dating adventures of Jeff who, in his early 30's, is growing increasingly paranoid about his ability to find someone he can share his life with. Enter One & Done Dating, a fictional dating service with the promise that "all it takes is One." Jeff signs up in the hope that his One will allow him to be Done. Unfortunately for Jeff, this is a comedy and where would the humor be if it all worked perfectly as our character intends?
Part examination of courtship and community in a social media world; part dating procedural with a twist of belly laughter, "One & Done" is about the fictional misadventures of Jeff, but is set in the very nonfictional world of the Queen City of Charlotte, North Carolina. From Plaza-Midwood to Uptown to the climbs of Crowder's Mountain, Charlotte takes center-stage as One and Done Dating sets Jeff up on a series of dates that spotlight the restaurant and social scene of Charlotte.
Help us produce what, ideally, would be Season 1 of "One & Done" (with a Season 2 already being formulated). Your contribution aids in the production value of each episode as well as the capacity to market the series and afford stipends for those who give so greatly of their time and talent to the series.
"One & Done" will be written and shot as approximately ten 6-10 minute episodes over the course of the rest of 2012, possibly spilling over into 2013 depending on extenuating factors.

We're now setting our sights on the world of serialized narrative storytelling. Not content to allow Jeff to run amok in AnyTown, USA, Starving Artist is a proponent of the regionalization of the entertainment we produce and, as such, wanted Charlotte to feature prominently in the series.
