I am going to be traveling to Indonesia in November and starting an amazing journey teaching English to native people. I intend to gather stories, portraits, landscapes and other images to document the experience of imparting a knowledge of a language that is often taken for granted to people whose futures may depend on it. It will examine the teacher student relationship, personal stories and experiences as well as the changes that occur in the lives of both teacher and student. 

The funds raised by this site will help to create a website and exhibition prints to ultimately gather into a photo book to be published in the United States. I want to expose people to my journey and the culture that I will experience, and hopefully inspire others to travel abroad to make a difference in someone's life. This is just the start of the project as publishing in bulk will likely cost more, but a prototype book should be covered to launch for more publishing.
