To the 10,000 Trees family (because that is what you now are),

Today is a big day. We're not even one week old and we've hit the 50% marker on that huge imaginary thermometer. It's literally warmed our hearts in the midst of all these snowstorms to see so many people become involved.

So many of you have suggested this project to your friends and followers on Facebook and Twitter (accompanied by compliments that have made us go pink in the cheeks). We can't tell you enough: These word of mouth contributions really are priceless.

Victor's story has started to catch the eye and ear of bloggers and two of them have featured the 10,000 Trees project. Free People clothing boutique gave 10,000 Trees a big spotlight in their trendy blog, BLDG 25. Andrea Paulin, ever-so-perfectly, summarizes our overall goal in her blog Under A Blue Moon, "They are hoping that Victor's passion will inspire us to take a look at how we are treating our planet and what contributions, however small they may seem, can have a lasting impact."

Like we've said, there are so many ways to be a part of a project and whatever part you choose or have chosen is what makes Victor's message grow, and grow, and grow.
