Photo-main

For part of my 12,000 sq. ft. solo exhibition at The Soap Factory gallery space, I need a section of an actual airplane and seats!

This kickstarter is in support of a portion of an exhibition entitled ‘Why we do this’, a new solo project at The Soap Factory in Minneapolis, opening on September 8th.

Over the last two years, I've been planning, plotting and preparing to take over all 12,000 sq. ft. of The Soap Factory, which will culminate in one large site specific installation.  The look and feel of the piece will be reminiscent of my previous drawings and installations, but will incorporate new mediums that I've never used before.  There will be interactive elements, cultural ephemera, video projections and performances, set in a series of interlocking and varied vignettes.  Visitors can challenge a friend to a giant game of Battleship, peruse a thrift store, watch the clouds roll by from the seat of an airplane, or catch a glimpse of a sasquatch through the window of a log cabin.

Want more?  You can follow progress on the Walker Art Center's blog, or get more information about the exhibition by visiting The Soap Factory's website.

Thanks again for your support, I couldn't do this without you.  You're awesome.
