About this project
The Southside Hub of Production is a multi-use cultural and arts center being developed on the South Side of Chicago. We have signed a one-year lease to convert an old mansion into a vibrant community space where learning, arts, civic engagement and deep, engaged living will have a home. We are a collaboration of visual artists, teachers, parents, children, writers, musicians and others creating a space for discovery, creation and new ways of seeing.
We have a ton of work to do! Our new home is a turn-of-the-century mini-mansion that needs a lot of tender loving care in order to become the source of inspiration we see it as. We also need lots of materials for the many different projects we want to make happen here.
