Update #4: $2,000 Reached!
As I write this update, the funding has reached $2,116. Someone grab the defibrillator paddles and zap me back into the waking world! That means backers at the $30.00 level and above will receive Alice vs. ALICE vol. 1: The Bloody Beginning sometime in December 2012 or January 2013, and EVERY backer will receive the .pdf version. I have already started formatting pages and sketches. I plan to ink and re-color some of my rougher work so everything looks nice. I'm also searching for fan art submissions for the back of the comic (with the original artist's permission)! I'm very excited to see how it all turns out.
Austin Comic Con is just a little over a month away and I've been working on creating prints using pre-existing artwork and also planning what fresh art pieces I will create for the convention. I originally estimated that I would have three 8x10 prints and ten 4x6 prints for sale, and I feel that I am going to be able to stick with that goal. On a recent poll I had on my DeviantArt page, the most popular things people wanted to see were pins, keychains and prints. Although I have a month to go, I don't want to overwhelm myself on my first table. At the same time, I want to have a good variety of items at the convention. And so, keychains might be on the horizon in the future!
I just want to again say thank you to all of those who are willing to give me a chance at this great opportunity. The response has been overwhelming, and I couldn't be more surprised or pleased. I will keep you all updated with any artwork that I produce in the coming days!
