Update #10: Renovation and Innovation

Posted on August 11, 2011

Just came back from the post office. The folks there kept asking, to whom are you sending all these nice gifts. Of course we told them the truth, to the best 60 plus backers a Kickstarter project ever had!!

So please keep a look-out for your envelope, or "tube" and remember there are, in some cases, multiple gifts inside the package, including an income tax receipt.

Also, we'd like to remind you that for those whose gift included a special thank you in an upcoming program, your name is in fact included in our Moonlight & Magnolias playbill. Come see one of the final four performances this weekend, and bask in the glow of seeing your name in the playbill.

And one final important note, please check out the following link: http://www.bigdawgproductions.org/newsDets.php?story=91  as our website now has our Thank You acknowledgement to all of you who have contributed to the campaign (save, of course, for those who wished to remain anonymous).

Thanks.

Update #9: Renovation and Innovation

Posted on August 8, 2011

Hi everyone - just a quick update to let you know that our Thank You Gifts and donation receipts are going out this week, so you should be receiving yours by the end of the week or early next week. All gifts and receipts will be included in the same envelope/package, so please check its contents carefully.

For those who have not yet advised us of your addresses, please do so, as we'd love to send you our token of thanks.

Please do not send a gift - rather have you use the money on the house.

Update #8: Renovation and Innovation

Posted on July 16, 2011

We know that it has been a few weeks since we've updated you on our progress, but we've been especially busy at the theater in July; busy renovating and innovating you might say. Rehearsals are in full swing for our next show, the comedy Moonlight & Magnolias, which opens July 28th, and some small renovations have been undertaken, while larger ones are being mapped out and discussed by the Board of Directors.

New carpet colors and patterns are being carefully selected, paint swatches are being analyzed, we've started some work on a new storefront window, we're closing in on an upgrade to our sound board, and we've even tweaked the interior of the theater a little bit. And all thanks to our Kickstarter backers, whose continued support means a lot to us.

Speaking of thanks to our supporters, we have been collecting names and addresses over the past few weeks, and have received responses to our survey from about 90% of our backers. As such, we are hoping to send out our thank you gifts and post our website acknowledgements by the end of July, as well as have our playbill thank yous inserted in the Moonlight & Magnolias playbill. So keep you eyes open for this, and come on out to the theater to see our hilarious new play and give us a chance to thank you in person!!

Update #7: Renovation and Innovation

Posted on June 22, 2011

The final numbers are in - Sixty-two backers, Three thousand, two hundred and eight-two dollars. Or, to put it another way, 62 supporters of our great community theater, and 3,282 new ways to enhance the look of our theater. The entire Board of Directors of Big Dawg Productions extends its deep gratitude and heartiest thanks to everyone who has contributed to our Kickstarter campaign. It was a fun experience and an exciting 6 weeks, and WE DID IT - together!!

THANK YOU

Shortly, a survey will be sent out to gather up addresses, so we can send you your thank you gifts. In the weeks that follow, we'll share with you our renovation ideas and show you the progress we are making. And when we invite the public to see our enhanced space, we'll be thinking of you, as you are the ones that made it possible.

THANK YOU

Update #6: Renovation and Innovation

AMAZING!!! WE DID IT!!! THANKS SO MUCH EVERYONE!!!

We've had a spectacular last three days, with several very generous supporters making tremendous pledges. With just over 30 hours left in our campaign, we have crossed the $3,000 mark and have successfully funded our campaign. We've reached SIXTY backers, an impressive number.

Once again, thank you to all who have pledged, and all who have helped spread the word.

We will be back in touch at the close of the campaign and let you know the final numbers. Towards the end of this week, we will start gathering up your contact information so we may begin to send you, hopefully by mid July, your thank you gifts.
