RavenWorks has been creating unique jewelry designs since 2006. Since the start jewelry artist Carrissa Larsen has worked hard to maintain an individual style, and evolve her range of jewelry techniques, to be able to offer a wide range of one-of-a-kind degins. 

RavenWorks has strived to maintain a presence in its home town of Portland, Maine, and further, from selling at local art shows and festivals, setting up on the streets of the Old Port during cruise ship season, hosting home parties and trying to build an online presence.

Recently RavenWorks has been developing a line of custom horsehair jewelry under the name Equine Dreams, for people who are passionate about their horses. One of my goals is to take this even further with new materials and designs. Moving this line into aa more high-end direction will include creating castings for rings and custom bezels for embedding horsehair.

Another line in the works is wire weave animal pieces. This will  be an extensive line, including many varieties of animals, such as cats, dogs, horses, monkeys, and so on  - even fantasy animals such as dragons. Right now preliminary designs are being done in copper wire, but with funding I hope to be able to do them in precious metals.

MY PROJECT

My project is to aid in the completion of my two new  lines  in time for the Holiday season craft shows, so that my jewelry can gain maximum exposure during the Holiday buying season. In order to execute this plan I will need the following:

$500 Registration fees for high end Holiday Season craft shows

$300 Recondition and expand booth set up to better display new jewelry items and existing lines

$500 New equipment and supplies for producing signifigant inventory of new jewelry lines in time for Holiday shows. Most of this is for casting equipment that I don't currently have to produce custom bezels

$200 Incidental fees and expenses, including Kickstarter fees

It takes many elements to make dreams happen, but with time and effort RavenWorks has already come a long way, and with a little push it can continue to go even further. Thats where generous backers, who believe in supporting independant artists, come in.

KICKSTARTER

This site offers a great opportunity for independent artists to keep fueling their creativity. However, once a goal is set, it must be acheived within the time period set, or none of the funds get received. The great thing is that once the goal is met, there is no limit to how much fantastic backers can continue to give.
