What We’re About
We are about making independent films. Films that strive to excite, surprise, and even make you think. But most of all, we are about making films with YOU. Kickstarter is just the source we need to get (for lack of a better word) a kick start. Clark Schaffer, the brain-child behind this project, has created special effects in Hollywood for decades. He is now in pre-production on his own creation, Cleverer. To keep the budget low, Schaffer is reverting to his days of traditional model making rather than relying on CG effects. His ability to recreate reality in model form has earned him much respect in the industry. He has also recruited the talents of other professionals that are either donating or assisting with their time at a much-reduced cost because of their belief in this project.
What About the Project?
Cleverer is the story of a man that discovers a world-changing, technological advancement through an accident spurred by the deceit of a former employer. Through a testing phase he brings an unwitting participant into the fray. Along with his friends, they race against time to keep the rights to the invention while at the same time putting things back in order. Did you hear the one about the Irishman, the Hillbilly and the Clown? You’ll soon learn the answer to this question.
What About the Rewards?
In return for your generous donations various “rewards” are being given. We are offering some really unique rewards that cannot be found anywhere else. In a giant game of Eeny-Meany-Miney-Mo, we are giving away an X-Wing Fighter model pulled from the original molds used in the Star Wars Episode IV film. There is also a studio-quality Star Destroyer up for grabs. All of this in an attempt to raise the $100,000 we need to finish the film. There are also some incredible rewards even for the smallest donation.

Born and raised in Concord, California, Clark Schaffer has spent the past twenty years designing and creating visual effects for the film industry. He currently makes his movie magic from his Utah-based studio where he and his wife are raising their three boys. He has recently begun the production of his own, original feature films.
