I've been working in film and television for about 10 years. Four years ago I was offered an opportunity to combine my passion for filmmaking with my other passion- bodybuilding. Since then I've developed video content FOR and ABOUT professional bodybuilders, figure competitors, and bikini athletes.

I've worked with the best of the best, such as Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler, Arnold Classic Champ Kai Greene, the "Procreator" Hany Rambod, Ms. Figure Olympia Nicole Wilkins, and IFBB Bikini Pro Amanda Latona, just to name a few. But my first client in the industry is also my most notable- 2011 Mr. Olympia Phil Heath. We've released 3 films together, starting with Unwrapped, Journey to the Olympia, and recently, Becoming Number 13.

With each release we've raised the bar of production quality in the bodybuilding industry. But from the beginning, we've shared a common goal: bring bodybuilding back to the mainstream. So finally, I’m working on a new project that will do exactly that. Re-purposing footage from Becoming Number 13, which chronicles Phil's path to become only the 13th man since 1965 to hold the Olympia title, we have created a new project: Muscle - The Rise of a Bodybuilding Superstar.  

It’s a film that tells Phil’s rise from a basketball player growing up in Seattle to the greatest bodybuilder in the world. The difference between this and our other projects is that this is targeted to a non-bodybuilding audience. Think Pumping Iron- in my opinion one of the greatest documentaries ever made. Yes it was about bodybuilding, but you didn’t have to be a bodybuilder to enjoy it. That’s what this new project is all about. It’s about bodybuilding, but geared towards a non-bodybuilding audience.

I’ve already got big plans too, we’ll be hitting the film fest circuit before it’s released to the public, and we’ve already gotten some positive feedback from distributors. But before all that can happen, I need your help. About 75% of the film has already been shot. What’s left is mostly interviews. Then of course there are post-production costs for things like motion graphics and music licensing.

I estimate we can finish the film with $12,000 more dollars. And that’s where you come in. You can be a part of this project, YOU can help bring bodybuilding back to the mainstream!
