Synopsis

With "House of Ghosts," his first supernatural thriller and seventh movie, writer/director Christopher R. Mihm pays tribute to the works of the master of classic horror, William Castle! Rich socialites Isaac and Leigh have a tradition of throwing exclusive dinner parties that include unique (and expensive) forms of entertainment. This time, they've booked a spiritual medium who promises to "open a portal to the great beyond" and allow the couple's equally eccentric guests to contact the "afterworld." But, before he begins his presentation, the occultist offers a warning: once the door has been opened, no human being can anticipate or control what might come through. Regardless, the group collectively agrees to go forward, only to find itself greatly disappointed by the results... at first. Trapped in the couple's oversized house by a massive winter storm, the partygoers begin to experience unexplainable and increasingly frightening things. As these occurrences intensify, it becomes apparent that something evil is at work. Can the group survive the night or will ignoring the medium's warning be the last thing they ever do?

FUNDING

All funding raised will go towards defraying the costs of movie production, including building MONSTERS, sets, props, and costumes.  Ideally we would like to raise several thousand dollars but I set the goal low to insure the project succeeds.  House of Ghosts is about to start filming and will premiere Summer 2012.

Please tell your friends - they might want an imdb credit more than you do.

I personally feel that if you are after producer credits in a film - these are the most affordable on Kickstarter.  Additionally if you like classic horror, science fiction, and monster movies this is the best way to participate in creating some new viewing material as you have probably exhausted the supply of original classics. 

The DVDs are manufactured real DVDs and come in cases matching the poster art.

These films have successfully played at theaters, drive-ins and film festivals throughout the world.  Attack of the Moon Zombies for example has an alternate language track in Esperanto and is one of the few full length movies to exist in that language (just like the cult classic Incubus starring William Shatner.)  The Esperanto version of Attack of the Moon Zombies has played at conventions in San Francisco, Brazil, and Denmark as a result.  Additionally Attack of the Moon Zombies was the first film to feature the unrealized Project Orion Atomic Pulse Rocket well known by space science enthusiasts.

Currently House of Ghosts is planned to have an Esperanto Language track as well.
