I am very excited to let you know that our documentary video is almost complete! It has taken us a lot A LOT longer to do this than we realized and I hope you'll accept our apologies for the delay. We think taking the extra time to make it perfect was the right thing to do. As a result we've got a stunning, professional quality video that reflects what you've helped us accomplish and we can't wait to share it with you.

If you contributed $50 or more then we'll mail you a DVD with the documentary at the end of this month. If you prefer to get a password protected link to the online version instead, let us know.

We are so excited to share our itinerary with you and only regret that we couldn't add every single city to our first tour. If we won't be seeing you this year please know that we'll keep you in mind for next year, or better yet, come find us. We're going all over the place and we heard you were needing a summer vacation anyway.

We're still nailing down venues and exact performance times, so stay tuned for more details. Tickets will go on sale on July 1st, and some of our venues will have extremely limited seating, so make sure you're first in line to welcome Transient Theater to your city.

Speaking of venues, we're still looking for spaces in Sacramento, Albuquerque, Austin and D.C. (and maybe Denver? or Salt Lake City?) If you've got connections in any of these places, let us know!

We just finished up our first week of rehearsals and I'm absolutely floored by the chemistry and passion I'm already seeing in our actors. They, along with our Director, Cara, are bringing such energy and intelligence to the table. I don't think I'll ever get over the part of my job that is walking into a room and listening to other people read words that I've written. What a strange profession.

I'm about to head over to the Transient Theater blog and post about my experience at the Great Plains Theatre Conference in Omaha, NE. I attended last week and in addition to seeing a stellar reading of THE EGG PLAY, I met some incredible artists from across the country. If you're interested in knowing more about this annual event check out their website.

Hey there,

We're happily tallying the votes and we've noticed that a few of you haven't cast yet. You should have received a message from us (via Kickstarter) with a link to our polling place. If you didn't please let us know. If you have but haven't had a chance to vote for your city then you'll want to do so by noon tomorrow.

We're working hard to come up with a route that allows us to see the greatest number of our supporters. We'll make the big announcement on our website on June 1st. In the meantime, if you know anyone in Albuquerque, Atlanta, Austin, Houston or Sacramento that would make a good Ambassador (a.k.a.- co-producer) send us their info pronto! These cities have some votes, but not a lot. We're hoping to figure out a way to include them and having an Ambassador could be just the thing to make them a more definite possibility.

And wait, have I not said thank you? THANK YOU thank you thank you THANK YOU! We are so overwhelmed, humbled, relieved, excited... wow! I can't believe that less than 5 months ago Transient Theater didn't even exist. And now we have over 200 people backing us. Next week we start rehearsals, and the following week the new script will be read at the Great Plains Theatre Conference. None of this could happen without you. I could spend days trying to come up with new and creative ways to express my gratitude, but I'll have to do that later, because right now... I've got a show to produce!

Check out our new video!

This beautiful stop-animation piece is the hard work of our very own Technical Director, Stormy Pyeatte.  Stormy will be traveling with us this summer and in addition to setting up lighting and sound equipment in every venue she'll be making a documentary film of our adventure.

After you watch this you'll probably want to know how you can experience more of Stormy's film-making talents.  Well, it just so happens that anyone who pledges $50 or more will receive a free download of our documentary. So if you need to up your pledge to make that happen, you've still got time. If you've already pledged $50 or more then you can look forward to a longer Stormy masterpiece coming to you in the fall.
