The Project:
Help me produce a travel show in Asia!
I will be helping my friend, and host, Katy, produce a mini-series, Give and Getaway: Volunteer Vacations. www.give-getaway.com
THE MINI-SERIES
We will spend a month and a half traveling and filming two volunteer projects, and two countries.
First, we'll head to Nong Khai, Thailand with OpenMind Projects http://www.openmindprojects.org/community/groupdocuments/1/1/volunteer-at-openmindprojects-training-center, teaching English and computer skills to underprivileged young people.
Next, we will find ourselves at an elephant orphanage in central Sri Lanka. http://www.rcdpinternationalvolunteer.org/volunteer_srilanka/elephant_orphanage.php where we will spend two weeks assisting the elephant caretakers.
The mini-series will follow your host, Katy, as she takes on two different volunteer projects, and two unique countries. The show will provide information on these two volunteer projects, as well other unique opportunities and experiences you can explore while visiting these countries.
Give & Getaway: Volunteer Vacations:
Give & Getaway is the travel show that crosses into different regions of the world to find interesting and meaningful service trips. Travel with your host, Katy, across the world to learn about new places and cultures while giving back to the global community. See what it's like to work with orphaned children, rehabilitate wild animals, and learn about environmental issues all while enjoying a new place and culture.
Each episodes takes you to a new destination all over the planet to share in the unique experiences that you just can't get from your traditional vacation. And every organization offers ways for the average person to get involved and join on their own trip!

The Funding:
All funds will cover MY portion of production costs. This will include any additional equipment costs, transportation costs, travel insurance, and in-country expenses.
