"Dear Father: A Theatrical Extravaganza Based on Franz Kafka's Life, His Writing, And His Letter to His Father", on stage in New York!
"Dear Father" is a wild ride through the mind and writing of one of the greatest figures in the history of literature. Follow Franz Kafka into myriad worlds of his own making as he grapples with the father he loved, hated, and could never escape. Told in the style of the Yiddish theatre he so treasured, "Dear Father" is a Kafka cabaret complete with thrilling, haunting and hilarious songs accompanied by a klezmer band. "Dear Father" was a critically acclaimed success when it was first performed in Los Angeles ten years ago. Now, after substantial re-writes and development, it is about to embark on its maiden voyage in New York. A 2012 EUGENE O'NEILL PLAYWRIGHTS CONFERENCE SEMIFINALIST, "Dear Father" will be presented in a workshop production at the Atlantic theatre for one night only on May 16th at 8:00 PM. Support us with your donation and be one of the first to witness a play that will change the way people perceive the Father of Modern Literature!
