We create beautiful, durable, and affordable custom home furnishings using the greenest options available.
While working as a designer and craftsman over the last decade, I have gained a lot of insight about what people want from a custom-crafted piece. They want something that looks good, functions well, and suits their space. And they want emotional connection - to both the piece and the craftsman.
It became clear to me that the biggest obstacle preventing many people from buying well-designed, high-quality furnishings is, simply, cost. Most of us, by necessity, purchase items that do not match our ideals. We make do with what we can afford and end up buying poorly-made furniture constructed from weak and sometimes toxic materials. Furniture that was designed and destined for the landfill.
That's how I became interested in the idea of designing, manufacturing, and marketing a line of furniture that would close that price gap. I wanted to give people a connection to the designer (that's me!), deliver a product that retains its unique identity and is constructed from high-quality materials. It had to be affordable and it had to be executed in the greenest way possible.
We're off to a good start and we've had some good response already. You can check out our current pieces available for purchase on our website (ericbilligfactory.com). Now we're looking for some start-up capital to really get this thing moving.
By contributing to our project you will help us get all of our current designs (and probably a few we haven't dreamed up yet) off the drawing board and into your homes or offices or coffee shops. The funding will go into materials, labor, design time, and infrastructure. We will then be able to get this company fully off the ground, manufacturing exceptional furniture to be sold for a reasonable price with the health of our homes and our planet in mind.
Thanks for taking the time to check out our project and thanks for pledging.
Enjoy this wonderful day.
