Update #4: Gameplay Additions
Hey guys short update here
So we've currently been working on a few things. Achievements will now be added into the game and it works just fine!
The main page was updated a little bit with a new profile picture here's the Old one:
An interview with Indie Game Magazine will be up shortly as well explaining a bit about Black Lion Media's history and more. Also the ability to talk to inmates have been added as well.

ABANDONED PROGRESS
So I''ll admit it it's been awhile since my last update!
But they do say a picture is 1,000 words but movies are...better? Goes something like that right..?
We have just released a little teaser for your Kick Starter folks! It's pretty exclusive, for now anyways. The teaser showcases just little pieces of the gameplay to maybe give you an idea on what we've been working on since the last update. The teaser showcases music from our soundtrack which is listed in the rewards.. *cough*
Just saying.
Level design work is by Black Lion Media member Jared along with some help from Amario. Anyways I will be talking about how much the development funds affects the team positively. Ultimately I've gotten email's regarding on how much the projects done, so far actually alot, there's alot I have not shown you guys. But funds definitely make things less complicated and that's one of the reasons why we need your help to reach our goal!
Alot of people so far have wanted to help with this project but I've noticed haven't quite gave in the funds, just wanted to somehow be apart of the project. Don't get me wrong that's great and pushes the game to better limits, but there's alot of stuff we could be doing right now with your help. We've recently finished sessions with our voice actors and are currently working on ambient sound in the game and our modeled weapons from a new addition to the team. The closer we get to reaching that goal the more information on the project will be released. The content we're pushing takes alot of time and effort and it sometimes bothers me that small projects that I could probably draft up in perhaps a week are receiving so much attention.
I've recently watched a documentary on Indie games - very interesting topic.
Indie games can branch out to very creative stuff and implement some ideas commercial games probably could never or wouldn't even try to do. And when it's done the commercial companies try to pick up the indie developers to make games for them but limiting their own freedom in the process.
Just my take on that topic.

Anyways thanks to those who've backed the project so far, keep the buzz going by telling your friends, family, or some random dude - thats fine too..
So if you haven't noticed we cleaned up the page a bit with some pretty nice 8-bit styled pictures and some more information about us and Abandoned as well. The website is still in the works for those who have asked about that, it will also have some nice exclusive content on there as well so feel free to check in on the next update to see if its up and running.
The game is still very much being worked on and finally realizing the workload that's ahead of us. Doeeesn't really change the fact that the project have been worked on for around a year, that fact alone I think kind of pushes us to work even harder no matter the workload.
Time for some most asked questions!
Q: Is the game really full 3D?
A: Yes, no side-scrolling here!
Q: Are you planning to make it for multi-platforms
A: It's possible for future titles but no, were focusing just on a PC version.
Q: Could I be a voice actor for the game?
A: Most of the roles are closed, but if you'd really like to - feel free to shout me an email.
Q: Could you perhaps have more gameplay footage so I can see how the game will be like?
A: We'd love to! Unfortunately, we're constantly changing that aspect. When we feel the game is fully operational on that, I don't see why not.

Update #1: Happy New Year!
Happy New Years to everyone, thanks to all who backed the project so far but theirs still some way to go!
So tell anyone about this project to boost the speed of it's creation even a small $5 donation is appreciated, anything to help reach our goal.
In this update I basically want to reach upon what we have so far, because we received a couple of messages about that. Well first off - the gameplay mechanic is already built, the levels are in the process of being finished but we are near the halfway-point, the soundtrack itself by Makati Rob & Asa is complete. And the comic book that comes with the $200 Reward are finished.
Due to multiple changes with some of the guns that info will be released later when out of it's alpha.
Sound Design
Sometimes people take for granted sound design in videogames, but it can really differ the feel and weight of a gun, we - for sure wanted to take this into consideration that you definitely do feel abandoned walking down some prison cells or psychiatric offices. The sound is at a great point right now but we might want to take it a bit further from the money received here, the more you donate the better the quality game!
The voice acting is essentially done for each level, just a few more lines to be said from some of the voice castings of Abandoned!
Media
The teaser shown on our kickstarter shows a mixture of old test footage of the game and new footage with improved levels. The new trailer will be released more officially and will basically show how the game will be out of alpha.

I have been a graphic designer, and into visual media ever since I could ever remember. It's something I love doing. Even at my age, hearing "Professional" graphic artist saying my work is 'great' or 'good' makes it all the better. I'm really glad the way me and my friend handled this project Abandoned, it started out pretty small and I think it can be great.
