Update #2: Do it to Julia Album
Hello,
I hope this summer is treating everyone right. We are currently in Charleston SC, on a small tour with our good friends Little Tybee. The shows have been great and everything is going well except for the 114-degree heat index. It’s good to get out of the studio for a time, but now after 6 days on the road we are all itching to get back to our microphones and sound board.
We have been working diligently on the album for the past eight months and we’re closing in on the final week of recording. After those tracks have been laid down we’ll move into the mixing stage of the album. Then the tracks go to mastering, and finally printing/pressing. We are hoping to have a product in our hands by the first week in September. At which time you all will be receiving your Kickstarter rewards. YYYYYEEEESSSSS!!
We recently made a big decision and changed our name to River Whyless. We are the same band with the same members but Do it to Julia felt to us like a misrepresentation. River Whyless is a name we are proud of and we hope that you will continue to participate our community.

Update #1: Some Love From Asheville
Hey Everyone,
We have officially made it to out $3,000 goal!! Thank you all so much. Over 100 people have pre-orderd the album and we now have 35 reasons to print it on vinyl. The kickstarter project will continue until January 23rd so please keep spreading the word to music lovers, friends and family. After two years of writing, re-writing, tossing out, revising, reworking, breaking down and building up, we have now created a lovely batch of new songs that need to be documented. The time has come to record our second album. The issue with this project, as with so many art forms, comes down to finances. We have spent the last year building a home studio—giving us creative control of our music. We are now turning to you in hopes that together, as members of the Do it to Julia community, we can move forward with a project we all believe in. For your efforts you will receive copies of the new album, hand printed T-shirts, videos, and, well, any other quirky ideas Halli can come up with. Your name will also be inscribed on the inside jacket of every album. Thank you all so much!
