About this project

Over a year ago I started Rare Words (http://rarewords.org) as a drawing blog to inspire collaboration with my readers. You are encouraged to submit words or a phrase that become the creative starting point for my drawings. I post the finished illustration with the name of the submitter. Response has been so great that I've amassed over 175 illustrations and counting.

Rare Words Vol. 1 will collect 100 of the first year drawings in a high-quality, full color collection to be printed in the US and limited to only 1,000 copies.

Rare Words is truly run by the readers and the printing of the book will be as well. In the spirit of collaboration I'm asking you to consider supporting what would hopefully be the first volume of many.
