I've created a facebook page to keep everyone up to date on the film once this Kickstarter campaign is over. Please "Like" our facebook page here:
Update #4: We reached our goal!! And a new baby lion was born!!
We've been in Maine for the past week with little computer access waiting for a lioness named Mia to give birth. Yesterday, it finally happened. We've watched the the father of the new baby, Mufasa Obama, grow up at Animal Kingdom. It's incredible to see him grown with lion cubs of his own. Thanks so much to everybody for donating and spreading the word about the project! Bob and Julie said they've been getting lots of donations and kind words as well. If you haven't yet, visit their website at:
We've gotten a lot of messages asking who wrote the music for our trailer. The music for the film is by Luke Rathborne. He's a fantastic musician and my brother. check out his music. You can hear some of it and get his new album here:
Thanks again to everyone. Here's some pics of the new baby lion.

Update #3: 5 Days Left!! (New Film Clip)
5 days left to reach our goal on Kickstarter! Thanks to everyone for the support. We're in Maine now waiting to film a baby lion being born. It's due any day. Here's a short clip of a capuchin monkey named Gigi who was rescued by Bob and Julie. We'll post some pictures over the next few days as well. Thanks again everyone!
Update #2: Kickstarter wrote an article about us!
http://www.kickstarter.com/blog/wild-home-wilder-beard
Update #1: Kickstarter puts "Wild Home" on its "New & Noteworthy" Page and writes us up on Tumblr!
Thank you so much Kickstarter for your support! They put us on their "New & Noteworthy" page and wrote us up on they're Tumblr page saying:
"New obsession: Bob Miner, a Vietnam vet who opened an animal sanctuary when he had a stroke and found it hard to connect with people. Just watch the video. The end is the best."
The response we've gotten from the Kickstarter, the Kickstarter community, and all of our backers and well wishers has been overwhelming. It can be discouraging trying to do something like this on our own and the kind words mean a lot. Thank you all.
I'm going to post lots of pictures and some more short videos as the campaign progresses. If you'd like to help us spread the word further, please check out the facebook event we made for this campaign and invite all the friends/animal lovers/documentary lovers you wish. I'll post updates there as well. Thanks again to everyone.
