DAY FOUR COUNTDOWN!!!

Update #6 posted on December 9

Wow! Day Four in the countdown to the end of the Craziest, Coolest, Christmas Project is winding down to its closing minutes, and we have a miracle in process! We had over twenty new donors to the project today, and the total gift contribution is now over $2000.00. Wow, Wow, Wow!!!

Of course, we still have a ways to go in our final three days, but with a full 24 hours of Day Three of the countdown in front of us, anything is possible! Please let your friends know about this crazy, cool, Christmas project, and if you just weren't able to get around to it today, please go for it tomorrow. We are about to enter Day Three of the countdown. A thousand "Thank yous," and a thousand salutes of honor to everyone who has given. I'll visit with you again at the end of the Day Three countdown.

I grew up in Angola, Africa as the son of missionary parents. High school was in Ridgewood, NJ, and then college at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. After med school at Indiana University, I was in the US Public Health Service for two years and taught Public Health in Ethiopia for two years before entering family practice. Since retirement in 1996, I have made several Volunteer-in-Mission trips to Zimbabwe, most recently in July and August, 2009. Our team is building a Skills Training Center near Mutare in Eastern Zimbabwe. When it is completed, the center will offer classes in many practical skills that will be very useful as Zimbabwe recovers economically over the next few years. I'm committed to helping in Zimbabwe in whatever way I can, and I plan to teach there over the next few years. In spite of all the difficulties they have experienced over the past few years, people in Zimbabwe have hope again. They have wonderful potential!
