Superfun Yeah Yeah Rocketship is making a totally awesome comic book and we need your help! Help us brother!
We here at Superfun Yeah Yeah Rocketship had an amazing idea! We want to collaborate with local St. Louis area artists and authors to make a lil comic book/graphic novel containing multiple comics starring us and our awesome powers of ROCK!!!
Our goal for this project is to have a great time being immortalized in print, while at the same time, helping give exposure and experience to our pals who make rad comics!!!
Corey and Chris of Superfun Yeah Yeah Rocketship are going to collaborate with local artists on making this here comic. Corey and Chris will be there each step of the way collaborating to write the stories along with the artists to make sure this project is TOTALLY AWESOME! After we gather up all the art from everyone we're going to lay it all out and send it off to the printer folks!
$1000 dollars may seem like a lot, but it will cost at least half of that to print the books, (we want to do good binding and pages, not just a stapled lame-o photocopy) and we really want to not be mega jerks and pay the artists for their hard work. We reached our $1000 goal and now we're aiming higher! The more money we can raise we're going to make the comic awesomer, possibly include some tunes with it AND give more money to the artists!
So if you think your money may be going to buy Corey new headbands, or Chris a prosthetic wiener, you're dead WRONG!!! We really just want to cover costs.
So look into your little heart and think about how much money you can steal from your parents and give to us! Let's do this baby girl!!!
The comic will be more like a hot lil graphic novel! It'll be around 80 pages, black and white in the inside with a spicy color cover. Get. On. DOWN!
