A New Play by Jessica Hinds, Directed by Elizabeth Carlson

When a mysterious missionary interrupts the mundane routine of a quiet elderly couple, they find themselves implicated in a damning cycle of love and violence, reviving a forgotten past of torture, hope and the preservation of unwanted creatures.

WARNING: This play contains violence, full nudity, graphic language and weapons use.

Cast includes Logan Riley Bruner, Asta Hansen*, Kerry Malloy*, Jeff Pucillo(Bury the Dead), Ben Williams* (Antenora).  Featuring the work of Lighting Designer Richard T Chamblin III, Costume Designer Emily DeAngelis, Set Designer Steven C Kemp (Extinction) and Composer/Sound Designer Mark Parenti (Knickerbocker). Stage Manager: Lily Perlmutter*; Assistant Director: Joe Pikowski

The show will perform at Venue #8 - La Mama’s First Floor Theatre, 74A East 4th Street (Between Bowery and 2nd Ave) in Manhattan.

About the Playwright: Jessica Hinds is originally from Contra Costa County California. She received her MFA in Playwriting from the New School for Drama. Her plays have been produced/developed at Primary Stages, Cherry Lane, FringeNYC, American Globe Theater, The New School for Drama, ESPA, Marymount Manhattan College, Naked Angels T@9, The New York Artists' Community (NYAC), Riant Theatre, ReGroup Theatre, Eagles Short Play Lab, The Vagina Festival, Sage Theater, the Brecht Center, and the Sam French Festival at Playwright's Horizons and Theater Row. Theatrical achievements include: 2010 Lark Playwrights’ Week Finalist, Strawberry Festival Best Play Finalist, 2nd Act Construction Playwright, TerraNova Groundbreakers Finalist, O'Neill Conference Finalist (2008, 2009, 2010), Heideman Award Finalist (2009), Samuel French OOB Short Play Festival Top 40 (2008, 2009, 2010), 2011 Firehouse New American Play Festival Semi-Finalist. Jessica currently lives, writes and paints in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
