Does this job pay? And is an architecture degree enough or do they have to have a license?

DIY movements have inspired the development of Novacut (a community involved in designing an open-source, cloud-enabled video editor, and on-line market place for artists who want to work independent of the established entertainment industry). Biocurious (like Novacut) is a project rooted in the democratic spirit, and this is why we support this wonderful idea wholeheartedly! Good luck to all of you!

Per your request Joseph - gladly :)

This very much goes along the lines of numerous industries trying to make their information accessable to all (globally) to offer a more equal playing field. It also goes along the lines of open source education as well - which is growing by leaps and bounds each month. This fits in well with all this, especially since your field is so specific (not just anyone knows or studies this discipline). Usually, people in your industry/field - on average- are more loners, less social - as they are more intelligent and more studious. BioCurious will give them a chance to expand their network and collaborate with others in their interest/field that they might not have normally spent the time to do so in their own local area even.

And then we all know the incredible things that can happen when great minds come together :)

I also see more individuals getting involved in biology just from the horrendous BP Oil spill that is happening in the Gulf of Mexico. People are astounded at the loss of the marine life and how it's affected them, so this might peak interests people didn't even know they had. Between that and Obama's support and loads of money he is dumping into science and math - (STEM) - I'd say your timing is perfect :)

      It's a hot topic, it's a sustainable topic. It's our future.

You most likely are now carving the 'new' for many other fields of study. :) People spend all their time on platforms like facebook and myspace, etc - yet what are they really doing? People comment the stupidest stuff and people spend their time sending imaginery gifts. I have better things to do than that - I am on there -but I am on there for a purpose. People forget their should be a purpose to what you spend a large amount of your time on every week. What you offer is more robust - and it's making time very productive, useful and expanding minds and connecting people globally.

This is absolutely genius! Will explode overnight!

I see this as a massive 'go to' source for all those pursuing these fields or who are in them, and a neat place to learn and collaborate on ideas most never thought could actually come to fruition for more casual users.

This is the upcoming #1 social/business media platform for bio! KUDOS!
