La Ronde is a racy play depicting the extremities of the social classes.

In this play, lifestyles and ideologies are not defined by social standards and morality, but rather by the time spent in the privacy of one’s own bedroom. Although depicting society’s perception of how sex correlates with love, this play portrays the opposite of romance and glamour by emphasizing how love is layered with lies and deception.
The funds we will be receiving will go directly into our production budgetting - makeup, costumes, marketing, etc. Everything to make this show happen. It is a very limited production, and every cent counts.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
The biggest risk with my show is trying to adapt a play written in the late 1800s to something more modern and experimental. This show has very relevant subject matter, and has been adapted into many different plays (and musicals), however, many people do not often try to produce or direct the original writings of 'La Ronde'. What I am trying to do is use the authentic script, and modernize it with lavish costumes and make-up, as well as create a unique show for the audience - this is the risk: trying to create something that is unique and provoking, while still holding onto the original values of this show.
