Photo-main

An Oral History of the Milwaukee Underground Music Scene. Nearly 3 years worth of interviews with people who where part of the scene.

The Cease is Increase is an Oral History of Milwaukee's punk & alternative music scene, from the 1970's  and 80's.  I have compiled hours of audio interviews with band members, DJ's, music critics, and fans.  As an oral history the story is told in the narrative of the person being interviewed.  All the players in the story have their own unique story to tell.

I'm asking people to support the project through Kickstarter to help pay for things like: Producing the DVD, hiring an Editor; transcribers; graphic artist; a desktop publisher; and web hosting.  Your participation is vital in bringing this vision together to fruition. Without your help the book may never be published!

In addition to the book, I am working with filmmaker, Jerome Fortier, to create an accompanying short film to tie in with the book.  The film will be included with the hardcover edition only.
