We are Heather and Chris, artist and publisher. We're ready to produce very high quality reproduction giclee's on actual scratchboard! It's been a very difficult task to find the right combination of technical equipment and expertise to capture the original detail on the reproduction. We wanted to give the reproductions the 3-dimensional feel of the originals. With several years of trial and error and several very expensive pieces of equipment, we have finally mastered duplication of the detailed scratchboard. Now we are ready to produce master quality limited edition scratchboard art!

Scratchboard is a very uncommon media to create fine art with. Scratchboard is artist board that is coated with a fine museum quality white clay, then coated with black India ink. You must be precise as it is very easy to scratch through the thin layer of clay rendering the entire piece ruined! Heather spends painstaking amounts of time to scratch each tiny detail into the scratchboard by hand. After she creates the lifelike 3 dimensional image into the scratchboard, she masterfully colors the piece with ink to give it that warmth and depth!

Heather is a master of her craft. She has won numerous awards including best in show and division awards. She is currently contracting to hang in several high level galleries and is becoming a huge success. We need to cover our initial production costs and want to share Heather Lara's work with everyone at Kickstarter before her huge debut!
