Is your farm on Glendale? If so I walk by it often and that made me curious about edible landscaping.

would it be possible to hear a little bit more about the budget for purchasing land? is the $10,000 goal a down payment? the remainder of what you need to purchase outright? total purchase price? I am curious if this amount will be enough to permanently secure the land or if this is one step in fundraising.
Thanks for all you do to help nourish Bull City! Please continue to let backers know what more we can do to support your work!

We are a worker-owned cooperative and community based enterprise that works with individuals, neighborhoods, groups, schools, and communities to create abundant, low-maintenance and beautiful edible gardens. We are committed to helping people unleash their capacity to be producers by working from the inside-out within their communities. We view our relationships with each other and the greater Durham community as the cornerstone for regenerative edible landscapes, urban farms, and neighborhood gardens.

Since 2006, we have installed more than 125 edible landscapes, or food forests. These gardens simultaneously grow vegetables, fruit trees and berry bushes while helping regenerate the land. They harvest and utilize rainwater, build soil, and provide habitat for beneficial insects and animals. They create abundance both for human communities and the environments they're tied to.

Our community work centers around sliding scale workshops that have coached and trained hundreds of people in many aspects of home scale food production, from growing edible mushrooms to raising backyard chickens. Through our community based urban agriculture projects, we walk with youth and neighbors to strengthen the creative and resilient communities we live and work in.
