Hello, I've seen the update. So the boosh is finished? I can't wait to see it! I ordered a digital copy, do you have an idea when I'll got it? Thanks a lot.
Creator Bill Woodcock on July 14, 2012
Any updates? Is this still something you're considering doing at some point?
Creator Eli Brown on April 20, 2012
Greetings Lucie, and thanks for your enthusiasm! I'm eager to hold the book in my hands too. I've explained the wait here:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1034200129/the-feasts-of-tre-mang/posts
As for what to cook, you can scroll down into the posts a little to find a recipe for Walnut Pate.
And there are even more Tre-mang recipes posted here:
http://tre-mang.com/try-a-recipe/
Have you tried any of them? If you do, please feel free to drop me a line and tell me how they turned out!
Creator Lucie Haberman on April 20, 2012
Hello,
Do you have any idea of when you'll finish this book! I'm getting impatient, I don't know what to cook anymore! :-)
Creator Bill & Karen Michaud on February 14, 2012
Eli - I know and have seen how very hard and diligently you are working - no worries. However, I may need a new t-shirt, I'm wearing the other one out. Best wishes! Karen

Hi Steve—
It hasn’t been a year yet but I share your frustration. It WILL happen—there is no doubt about that. What’s less certain is WHEN. There is a brief outline of the situation as it (still) stands in the comments below in response to MediaJolts query. I’m working on an update addressing the interminable wait in a more detailed way—so please look for that soon. In the meantime please accept my heartfelt apology for the wait.
Creator Steve Lawrence on February 14, 2012
Just a couple of months since it has been ONE YEAR since this project was funded.
IS it going to happen?
Creator Eli Brown on January 26, 2012
Hi MediaJolt,
Thank you so much for your continued support and enthusiasm.
There's great news and not as great news. The great news is that a couple of major publishers are taking the Tre-mang cookbook seriously and there is a good chance it will be done very well and have a wide distribution. There are well known editors taking a look at it, and me and my agent are waiting with baited breath to find out what its fate will be. The tough news is that this all takes so darn long and I'm having to ask supporters like you for an almost saintly patience. Once a publisher decides to print the cookbook (which I hope will happen soon,) the actual production of the book will take even longer.I'm so sorry for the interminable wait. I'm as eager as you are to see the thing come to life.
I can't thank you enough for your patience.
Best,
Eli Brown

Haven't been any updates since October. Are things still moving ahead?
Creator Eli Brown on October 4, 2011
Thanks for your patience, Alexandra! I'm happy to report I've got the first draft done and am deep into the interminable editing stage. Please look for an official update within the next month or so!
Creator Alexandra on October 4, 2011
Any updates since July?? Hope it's all going well!
Creator Kate Jones on July 2, 2011
Dear Tony, it was good to see you at Maia and Sara's celebration!
These delightful photos only whet the appetite more! Thank you for keeping us posted on your child's progress... I look forward to continuing news--cheers, Kate
Creator Eli Brown on April 12, 2011
Happy you like it, Sam! I do all the art, cooking, writing, photography--everything. I might have help from Morgan Bellinger for the food photography in the finished book, but so far, it's a one man operation.
Creator Sam Brown on April 12, 2011
Who did the art for your antique map? It's quite good!
Creator Eli Brown on April 11, 2011
Thanks Keith and MediaJolt! Your support has made it all possible. Now I buckle down for the summer in the hopes of having it finished by the fall!
Creator Keith Kurman on April 10, 2011
Congratulations! This is a brilliant concept that you have developed, and are executing, with great skill and artistry. I'm proud to have been a supporter and look forward to helping nurture your idea going forward. Well done!
Creator MediaJolt on April 9, 2011
You made it! Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Hey Eli, made a note to swing by and help push your project over the top but I can see someone beat me to it and in a very big way! Good for you! Let the fun (and work) begin. We are looking forward to one of those autographed copies for our library...
... much love tim & sue

Greetings all and thank you so much for your support!
In answer to those of you who would like a more economical physical copy of the book -- I feel you. This is a work in progress and I have much more work to do. The donations are scaled to reflect that.
I do intend to publish the book and it will be available at a much more reasonable price once I do. Please watch Tre-mang.com for updates (hoping for a fall publication date.) I'll have a newsletter up there too soon to bring announcements to you.
Approx retail price once published? $25-$55? Maybe?
Creator Alexandra on March 30, 2011
Hi Eli - this is a fantastically unique approach not just to a cookbook but project in general, as no doubt everyone has been telling you, so congrats on its (unsurpising) success! As several others have been saying below, though, I would love a physical copy of the cookbook when it comes out but am just out of being a student and really can't stretch to the $100 for an autographed copy - what do you estimate the approx retail price will be in the end, if you have any idea at all?
Thanks in advance, and for introducing Tre-mang to the world!
Creator Kevin Godwin on March 30, 2011
Eli!!!!! Awesome News! It seems unofficially official. You've been backed...and well beyond your needed 6k. As of 1:07pm (PST) $7,292.00!!!
Creator Tyler on March 30, 2011
Love the creativity of this project! I only wish I could pledge at some level that was appropriate for a pre-order price for the book. I don't know how much cookbooks cost (I don't cook much), but seems like $35-$45 should work for a non-autographed copy of the book. I would like to pledge at this amount to support this project and will await a reply before pledging.
Thank you.
Creator John Cmar on March 29, 2011
This is simply outstanding. It hits the right notes for my interests in art, food, replicas/props, and fiction. Here's hoping you get funded!

James, I wanted to offer a flag as a thank-you-gift but had trouble finding economical choices that weren't sweat-shop choices. Sorry! I might offer them in the future through Tre-mang.com if I can work all that out. May I suggest a flag t-shirt in the meantime?
Creator James Litton on March 24, 2011
Where can I get a flag?!?
Creator Wilma W. Johnston on March 15, 2011
Oh Goody - I just LOVE old family recipes!
Creator Eli Brown on March 6, 2011
Dear all,
I've added a couple new thank-you gifts:
A digital copy of the manuscript!
Tre-manner currency!
Creator Graham Evans on March 5, 2011
Eli,
Amazing, creative work brought to my attention by Dylan O'Harra. Thanks for the energy you bring the world! This project has made me smile and laugh several times since finding it.
I want to support your project, but ultimately just want a copy of the book to enjoy myself. That said, $100 for an autographed copy is a little steep for me right now. Would you add a backing option to get an un-signed copy?
Thanks!
Graham

Will any of the recipes have Atlantis influences? We are especially interested in any dishes that are half-baked.

What would Margaret Mead say??
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
-- Margaret Mead
And now, Eli and his Tre-mang have entered the equation of our universe!!! Yeah. Now, Let's eat.
Creator Kevin Godwin on February 24, 2011
I see great application potential for iPad/iPhone, Eli...This project is beyond worthy of coming to fruition.
