Wow, folks, you all rock!
Thank you to all the new backers from the past few days! Thanks to your generous pledges and spreading the word, we've reached 61% of our goal!
I want to tell you more about our friends who will be doing the translations. They're all young Burmese activists forced to live in exile outside of the country either because they were involved in political work and served time in political prison (learn more about that in this video: http://www.digital-democracy.org/2009/12/08/ddtv-episode-8-burmas-political-prisoners/ ) or because they are persecuted ethnic minorities who fled attacks by the Burmese army.
The $550 per language will cover their living expenses for a few month, and they'll be working in teams to translate the book ... we're excited to see how they translate it into Burmese slang.
As of now we have a little over 2 days left to reach our goal ... any messages you can send out via blogs, Facebook or Twitter are clutch in this final countdown!
Special thanks to Little Brother author Cory Doctorow and editor Patrick Neal Heyman - without your amazing work on the book, this project wouldn't exist!

This project successfully raised its funding goal on December 15, 2009.
