I'm afraid I can't answer either question. I can only say that we're working to improve the iKeyboard and that as soon as we have something we're satisfied with our Kickstarter Backers will be the first to learn the details.

I received my iKeyboard. Thanks! I was hoping the keys would be rubber, not plastic. The plastic bubbles feel cheap. Any plans to release a rubber key version or some other material on the keys?

It looks like the model we show on the website, www.iKeyboard.com.
We changed from the model with tabs so that the iKeyboard would have a longer life-span instead of planned-obsolescence. Using tabs would limit which models it could be used for.
We think that the current model will work with the iKeyboard Three as well as the first two model. This way, if an iKeyboard owner buys the next generation iPad he won't have to buy a new iKeyboard.

Still waiting for my keyboard (Fort Worth Texas).
Got mine over the weekend. Getting used to the new way of typing. So far, so good, my only complaint is that about half of the keys have a crinkling sound when pressed, which is a bit loud and annoying when in a meeting. Anyone else who received theirs having the same issue? I'm hoping they "break in" after a bit of use and the noise goes away.

Just a quick note - I got my iKeyboard in the mail the other day (sorry if this bugs people who haven't gotten theirs - it's coming, peeps!), and I gotta say... when I first backed this project, I thought you were on to something, but you've taken that something and really knocked it out of the park. The packaging, the product, the whole she-bang - most Kickstarter projects hit their funding goal and then just wander off into the wilderness, but you have really done it here, man.
I hope it turns in to an ongoing success for you, I really do. I love the product, I love the packaging, I love the fact that you just had a brainstorm one day and then here you are with a product.
Thanks for all the effort, and thanks for the awesome product. :)

p.s. To the frustrated people commenting: backing a product isn't the same as ordering something through the mail. Starting a venture is frustrating, full of setbacks, and Cliff has done an amazing job getting here. I'd cut him some goddamn slack if I were you.

I'm sorry I haven't been more precise.
Amazon has shipped approximately half of the iKeyboard 1.9s to Backers this past week and will complete doing so by Thursday. Shipping is set as "expedited" for all addresses that Amazon will accept for 2-day service. For mysterious reasons Amazon will not ship "expedited" to some locations.

That is not accurate. The reporter did not get that information from me. We have just shipped iKeyboard 1.5 to those Backers who wished to receive it. Our final production version will get to Amazon for shipping to everyone else late next week.
Kickstarter Backers will get priority over web buyers who will be prioritized by the date they bought on-line.
