About this project
I've been a drummer for different bands and various people for the last 7 and a half years, and I want to make a full-length record of my songs under the name Au Ras Au Ras with Bruce Watson (of Fat Possum Records) at Dial Black Sound. I have reached out to Bruce and he's on board to record it! I'm completely self-taught and didn't start playing until I was 25! I've written the record spanning over this past year. I will sing and play drums, keys and bass on this record and it will also include help from some very special guest musicians!!!
The money will directly go toward the day rate of the studio, reels of 2" and 1/2" tape, the mastering and the pressing of the record.
**Whatever the amount you pledge, you get everything preceding that particular amount. e.g If you pledge $250 you will receive 2 of my original recipes (fusion!!), a mix CD, a signed hard copy, outtakes/demos, and downloads. Also, you'll receive an Animal Electric EP for every pledge $10 or more.

Tess Brunet/Au Ras Au Ras (oh rah oh rah) is set to record her first solo record January 27th with help from Seth Kauffman and Michael Libramento (Floating Action) at Dial Black Sound in Oxford, MS with Bruce Watson (of Fat Possum Records).
Brunet has released music under the name deadboy and the Elephantmen (Fat Possum Records), Animal Electric (self-release), and Generationals (Park The Van). She has also played drums for Lady Bo, Twin Tigers, Attack Formation, Fangtar, The Lees, and One Man Machine.
Tess started playing music at the age of 25 in early 2003 while working at S.I.R. Studios in New York City as the Accounts Receivable Manager. Self-taught, she plays drums, auto-harp, keys, and guitar.
