This is not just another barbershop CD.

First some history:

Oh, Queen Kathleen (aka Leadzilla of Synchronicity) had plans, ideas... something up her sleeve back in September 2006.  Pulling from her Nashua, NH-based home chorus, New England Voices in Harmony, she pulled aside co-director Renee Tramack (formerly a lead singer), and Katrine Dickau (formerly a baritone), and thus started the dreams and reality of Showcase.  Queen Kathleen must sing lead.  MUST.  If you know her, you KNOW WHY!  Her music is expression, power, hynopotic, magnetic.  So Renee was forced to sing bass.  Who knew she'd be a natural??  We needed a tenor.  Where do they hide?  Hmmm... Hey, we could ask Debbie Borsari (our other co-director) to sing baritone.  Make Katrine sing tenor!  Who knew SHE'D be a natural!  Finally by Area 2 Contest in April 2007, we were together, had a name, and knew we had big plans!  Two years, and two international silver medals later, we hit the stage in Providence, RI and left a smokin' hole, thereby acheiving our goal of queendom.  Blue ribbons, gold medals, and crowns upon our heads (and a baby in Katrine's belly) made us feel good and ready to conquer the world.

Baby Bergen was born, we traveled and had some great shows, attended contests, gained our permanent 50th anniversary Harmony Inc. crowns, and Debbie decided to move on in other areas of her life.  Some would have said that it would be the end of Showcase, but we had bigger plans.  Sure we would have to rebuild, and that would take some time, but there is nothing that comes more naturally to Showcase than singing and making harmony come to life through our music.  We weren't about to let it all go.

Months of planning and auditions concluded with our joyful announcement of Kari-Lynn Knight as our new baritone!  A beautiful, talented baritone selected again right from our home chorus has given us a new light, new motivation, and a thirst to get our music out there once again!  The creation of this album is a dream come true.  It has taken us a few years of adjustments and delay to reach this point, but we are proud of who we are and what we have become!  This album will launch us into our next phase of musical fullfilment.

The quality of our music is what defines us.  We like each performance to be a showcase event.  (Ba doom tshhhh!) Nobody will say they know us because of our great comedy routine or amazing moves.  People know us because of our sound and the art of our music-making.  This album will feaure some of our favorite songs we've been singing for years-- our signature songs like Love Me, For Good, Basin Street Blues, Can't Help Lovin' That Man of Mine, and new favorites like Roxie, and our original Titanic Medley featuring Katrine on fiddle.  All digitally recorded by Houston Galloway in his Brookline, NH studio, and coached, mixed and mastered by Steve Tramack.
