I am painting approx. 250 portraits of my Facebook friends over the next year which is exploring the growth in our capacity to care.
I'm raising funds for my Facebook Friends project which consists of approx., 248 portraits of my FB Friend's profile pictures. These will be painted on 5x5" panel boards in Oil Paint over the next year. I have booked a gallery space for these to be exhibited at for summer 2013 in San Francisco. To complete these I will be painting 5 per week (which I have already worked into my schedule for this following year). They will be completed in my studio at UC Berkeley which I have been awarded after becoming an honors student this year in the Practice of Art. This is not a school project but something I feel passionate about and want to complete for reasons beyond grades or certificates but to satisfy a life goal.

Aren't they beautiful?! And they are necessary! After buying these they will be gessoed and painted on.
Last semester I did a similar project on the backs of business cards. I didn't need any funding for this project due to the business cards being given to me. This series only took 4 months to complete because I painted 16 per week. Each portrait was smaller then this years's goal, only 1"x2" therefore, this next series will take longer due to the size being so much larger. I completed 'Wrong Number' as you see below on schedule without delay. I hope this shows my dedication to my work.
