Dan. Sure. What are your skills? (Besides sending positive vibes our way?!)
Creator aylr on April 27
Check our update. We've got a conference call with our manufacturer tomorrow (4/28) to get the true ETA of the main hauntbox boards. Stoked!!!!!
Creator dan pearson on March 28
Are you getting close? Is there anything one of us could do to assist you?
Creator NightPueo on March 26
Excellent news! Not to put any more pressure on (hah, actually I lie) but I've been working with a friend who has started up a makerspace in my area. We've been discussing classes to share and I suggested that I can give talks on my different Halloween projects. If the Hauntbox will be as easy to use as I think it will, I believe it could be one of the classes.
Creator Kurt Pfeifer on March 25
Sweet! Thanks for the update! It's nice to hear a message from the great beyond just to know things are still a-hoppin'. Sorry it's been such a rough road for you guys, I'm hearing similar sentiments from other hardware projects I've backed.
I'm hoping the projects we make with what you've put together will make you proud and hopefully spur future sales when the word gets out!

Kurt, Matt, NightPueo:
I tell you what this has been an education. We've been pummeled with problem after problem and I think we are finally getting close to manufacture! We are prepping a really nice update that should drop in a few days with some good news about the main hauntbox board, radder software and timelines from here on out. Neither Tom or I wanted this to stretch out for so long, and neither of us expected so much stress from the hardware gremlins, but we're honing our skills and are getting stoked to manufacture.
NightPueo,
I couldn't agree more with all of your sentiments. This project isn't dying, it's rising like the undead hordes!
Creator NightPueo on March 9
Taylor and Tom,
It is approaching three months since the last update. What is the status? If you plan on selling Hauntboxes beyond the Kickstarter drive, you will need time to get the word out. Plus if we can get working on projects, then you will have examples of what can be done with the units which would help this item succeed. I'm really afraid that what was an innovative project last year will become passe next year. I don't want to see this project die.
Creator Matt Topper on March 6
Agreed, any updates?
Creator Kurt Pfeifer on February 14
tis awful quiet.
Creator NightPueo on January 30
So what is the status? I see some stuff being updated on GitHub, but it's been over a month with no news.

Creator Sandy Walsh on December 14, 2012
Hey guys ... any updates? I haven't seen any activity on GitHub in over a month!
Creator VJzoo on December 11, 2012
Hey Guys just wondering how it's all going? Been awhile since the last update.
Creator Gerald Fritz on October 25, 2012
Hi Guys, I just got back online after a few months away. I was checking on the Hauntbox and I'm glad to see everything is moving along. And, you're doing a few upgrades too! Way to go!
Keep up the great work and I can't wait to tinker with it...But, don't rush things. I'd much rather get a better tested product in another 6 months than one rushed out too soon (it happened in a company I used to work for...yech!) You'll never get a second chance to make a first impression, so please be double sure that the MFG'r hasn't messed up again!
Way to go guys!
Creator VJzoo on October 22, 2012
Any news on how its going? :)
Creator aylr on July 13, 2012
Dexter,
Send a message through kickstarter or simply wait and we will send a survey to our backers asking what international options they need.
Cheers,
Taylor

Kevin: There are lots of plans, please stay tuned!
Creator Kevin Smith on June 29, 2012
could there be a stretch goal coming? Hehe
Creator Anonymous on June 28, 2012
Have you considered making haunt box integrate with theater software such as Q-Lab?
Creator Kevin Smith on June 28, 2012
Woo hoo - goal has been reached and already 1577 over!
Creator Martha Antolik on June 28, 2012
I know really nothing about the home-haunt scene, but this just seems so cool--here's hoping you get your full backing and then some. I can't wait to read the updates!
Creator Kevin Smith on June 28, 2012
This is an awesome project. I love supporting the home haunt industry. Do you guys have other plans for the future?
Creator aylr on June 26, 2012
Jayson,
You ask amazing questions. Let's break them down:
1. Can the Hauntbox be triggered FROM the browser. Currently no, though after some discussion with Tom, this would be a relatively minor firmware addition. We love the idea so much we have put it high on our list. Would you prefer triggering an individual output or simulating the input trigger to set off the output cascade you have set up?
2. Can multiple Hauntboxes be controlled from one browser window. Currently, to keep the device as simple as possible, each functions independently and has its own IP address, so you could certainly have multiple browser tabs open, each controlling one Hauntbox.
With future software updates it might be possible that you could have a master and slave devices that could all operate from one device. This would require som significant software work and is worth exploring at a later time.
The other option we have on our tentative roadmap is an expansion board that would be much less expensive than the main Hauntbox board that could add an additional 6 I/O to one Hauntbox.
Most importantly, we have chosen a beefy (though expensive) processor that gives us plenty of future-proof ness. The other wonderful thing about the Hauntbox is that it is open source. This means that all the code for the firmware and front end will be publicly available for collaboration, meaning great ideas like yours can be accomplished!
Keep your great ideas coming!
Taylor

I see you can program the Hauntbox from a browser, but can you also trigger it from a browser? Plus, if you can trigger the controller from a browser, would it be possible to control multiple Hauntboxes from a single browser window? Maybe configure a switchboard that would allow you to manually set off scenes?
