About this project
Abigail is 23 years old.
She dropped out of school in ninth grade.
She works at the gas station.
She has had the same job for the last six years.
She has never been outside her hometown.
She hopes to catch a train today, once her shift is through.

The Story:
ABIGAIL is an atmospheric portrait of a socially inept gas station attendant. After living in the same area her entire life, she's set a goal to catch a northbound train. Her motivations are unknown. On route, she meanders across the decaying wasteland that is her hometown. We slowly learn fragmented details of her life as her journey progresses.

The Situation:
Principle photography was completed in June, thanks to the tremendous efforts of a hardworking NYU crew. We shot on location in some beautiful areas in Middlesex County, New Jersey.

The Dilemma:
Though the shoot has ended, we are in need of support. Because of time limitations and hectic scheduling we were unable to raise money before the shoot. Equipment was rented, the crew was transported, props, costumes, and set decorations were purchased, the crew was fed. Your contributions will help pay these bills.

The shoot was a truly magical experience. We had an amazing cast, and an amazing crew and we can't be more thankful for everybody's dedication. Any contribution will help.
