About this project
Dear Friends, Family, Colleagues, and Art Lovers,Heather N. Seagraves & Dancers (HNSD) are exploring a new project titled Archetype. This work-in-progress asks questions of both the mind and of the heart, the psyche and the soul. In this piece, we will be looking at the patterns of our everyday world, our bodies as vehicles, and how our consciousness molds, shapes, and digs deeper into the truth of our greater existence. Through movement, dance, collaboration, and relationships, HNSD will investigate the archetype of this dance we call life. Showing how we can be a collective or we can be an island. We can be alone, yet never alone. We are one, yet without the I. We will use dance to show the beauty and struggle behind finding our oneness.
We will be presenting Archetype on October 29th at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Theater in Times Square, NYC. We will be dancing in Amalgamate Dance Company's NY Fall Season Performance.
Two Performances: Saturday, October 29th 4pm and 8pm
Cast: Jen Kosky, Alice MacDonald, Jessica Parks, Keisa Parrish, Heather N. Seagraves
We need your help! Please support this project. Creating dance and putting up a show is a lot of hard work and takes real live money to pull off a successful performance. Help us pay for rehearsal space, costumes, and support these beautiful dancers for their craft. We are trying to raise $2700 to cover just the basic costs of this work. See below a breakdown of our budget.
$538 40hrs of Rehearsal Space
$1815 Dancers' Salary
$200 Costumes
$147 Marketing Costs
$2,700 Total
No donation is too small. Every little bit helps and we are so grateful for your support.
Please check out www.heatherseagraves.com for dancers' bios, more information, and continued updates. We hope to see you all at the show and thank you for your interest and support of Heather N. Seagraves & Dancers!
