Hello All,
Sorry for the radio silence, I typically like to wait to post until I have good news to give you guys. It certainly has NOT been the month that I thought it would but that's both a good and bad thing. So the design timeline has fallen behind, which I was terribly afraid it would which is why I was hesitant to put them up. That is still the order I plan on making the models in however and I'm cranking away at them best that I can.
On that note, yes I am working on this company all the time. 7 days a week. 12+ hours a day. There are a lot of things to handle besides the design work involved in keeping a company afloat. That being said, I have had to take a few days away from design work to secure the future of this company with auxiliary services, errand running, and honestly a little side work. The money gained from the kickstarter has gone a long way and with all the delays in production, it needed to be augmented some to continue. Some of this auxiliary work has been to establish a working relationship with Cool Mini Or Not! Which is TERRIBLY exciting! Others have been some contract work with game manufacturers and designers. I apologize for putting even more strain on my schedule but it's in all of our best interests to keep this thing going smoothly. Additionally, after crunching some of the production costs of these products- you guys are getting *AMAZING* deals. Again, I apologize and thank you for all the patience and support.
Now- good news! The shipping delays on basics have been resolved! Basics should be heading out tomorrow and thursday. composite basics should be going out tues and wed of next week.
More good news! We're going to TempleCon this weekend :D We'll have demos of our pieces, including some of the upcoming deluxe kits. We'll post some pictures on our facebook and twitter over the course of the weekend.
MORE good news! I'll be on a Panel at PAX East about Terrain-making and the future of the Hobby :D I'm very excited for this and hopefully we'll see some familiar faces there.
And the best news of the update: Pictures of the beta proto of the Warp Gate and computer model of the Hideaway Tavern. More protos to be cut later this week.
Yes, that is a space marine. And yes, there is some interior design for the Inn (which can come apart). There is less line-work on it overall because its such a large model but I'm quite pleased with it all in all. The warp gate is still a very trying yet satisfying model to work on.

Hey Guys, quick update.
A viscious head (and later chest) cold took me out of commission for all of saturday and most of sunday so the designs are behind some. Tomorrow night should hold some promise for the tavern, possibly the warp portal as well.
In other news, tomorrow I'm picking up the new printer (the old one died mid last week) which should allow me to start shipping out the basics. The tavern looks pretty sick so far, I'll attach some screencaps at the bottom for your viewing pleasures. Thanks again all.

Timeline Update!
Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a good holiday and I hope you are enjoying the weather (wherever you may be). I've been fiddling around with the machines (as usual), cutting out kits to go to the basic backers, taking pics for instructions, and tying up a few odds and ends. The holidays sent me a little for a loop so there was a slight lull in the shop for a few days. I'm sorry. Anyways, enough ducks have been aligned that I can project a timeline for the things to come. Now, this is a projected timeline and I can't anticipate if something were to spring up unexpectedly. So if something happens to knock this off, the dates may be shifted but I'll let you know what's what and how I expect it to impact timing.
Jan 7- prototypes for Warp Portal, Comms Tower, & Hideaway Tavern
Jan 14- protos for Stone Bridge, Industrial Bridge, Forge kit.
Jan 21- protos for Lone Parapet, Ancient Stair

Pushing the Line designs slated to begin in March at which point a new assessment period will begin. Custom Orders will go after that followed by the Pushing the line Stretch Goals.

Updated models, adding on, and Crane instructions (woo!)

Been cutting all week, it's been a great feeling getting some of the serious goods on the table. No, they haven't been shipped yet because I wanted to clarify about adding onto your kickstarter order... aaaand it takes a while to cut THAT much terrain.
There has been some interest from backers in picking up some terrain, beyond what you ordered. So, if you see some basics that you want, feel free to place an order on our online store (www.tectoniccraftstudios.com) and we will ship that out with your kickstarter order. Order what you'd like and when you receive the payment confirmation email, forward that to Shop@tectoniccraftstudios.com and include the following information:

In other news...
I had decided that the Smoldering Foundation, Train Car, and train Rails kits were not Awesome enough so I updated them some. The train wheels, and by extension rails, are now slimmer and better scaled to the game. The foundations... is a little more smoldering. Behold:

Crane instructions!
Tools- This is all I use: Clippers, files, razor (or Xacto or hobby knife), and wood glue. Sobo works very well also, as do tacky and regular elmer's white glue.
First- the base and core
Next, we start the assembly of the swivel mount mechanism
Next insert that assemblage trough the bottom of the tabbed square with the circle in the middle
Next place the gear with the square cut through it on the top bit, gluing it around the two tabs coming up from the bottom of the square. Do not glue the gear down to the square.
Next, take one of the sides of the crane arm and glue it onto the dual tabs coming up from the bottom piece. Take care to keep the glue off of the gear as that would prevent the crane arm from rotating.
Next, find the similarly slotted rectangular piece with a hole towards the back and glue it onto the crane arm and tabs from the bottom piece.
Repeat this process for the other side
As the glue is setting, level everything out and pull up so that the crane assemblage is tight to the tabbed bottom piece.
Next apply glue to the inside of the two horseshoe shapes and slide them into place below the crane assemblage around the central pivoting point.
Next glue the bottom of the crane top assemblage onto the base and core
Next put the top and bottom onto the crane arm
Now for the back wheel assembly. Start with one of the gears with the small square in it and glue the peg into it
Now slide one of the circles that's slightly larger than the gear used in the previous step. Repeat this once more with the small circle with a rectangular slot. After that, insert the entire assemblage into the hole at the back of the crane assembly
Then slide the small circle with a rectangular slot onto the peg, then the larger circle, then the gear. Take care to keep glue away from the inside of the smallest circle pieces and the area around the hole on the back of the crane, else it'll prevent it from spinning.
BAM! Crane.
Sorry for the lenghty update, but I said I'd make an effort to update you guys more regularly and here it is. Shipping issues are on ropes so international tokens/templates as well as tournament full stacks (two trays and the frame) should be going out shortly.
I'm going to continue plowing into Deluxe kits, posting pics when I finish. Thank you all so very much.
