Update #8: Shipping!
Hello!
We apologize sincerely for the delay in getting your rewards to you. A number of issues were keeping us from shipping out CDs and even simply getting your names and addresses pulled from the surveys. But all of the surveys have been answered—actually, a few of you haven't, but those that haven't have been contacted privately several times now—and all of the clearances have been re-acquired for the album. CDs went in the mail today, and orders with T-shirts will be stuffed and dropped in the mail tomorrow.
Again, we apologize for the delay. Thank you for sticking with us, and thank you for supporting us!

PS—Here's an old KVU clip of a song we used in the international contest in 2009. The recording from that contest doesn't do it justice, we think; a chorus of more than 100 went right before us, and the mics were never adjusted to pick us up! This recording is from the dress rehearsal before we headed from Kentucky to California for that trip.
Update #7: Thanks for being patient! Rewards coming.
Hey all,
Thanks to everybody, again for pledging money and supporting us, but for also being patient in the meantime! Links to downloads for various media—CDs, videos, etc.—should be sent out within the next 48-72 hours. In the meantime, we're still waiting for some of you to fill out reward surveys with T-shirt sizes, email addresses, mailing addresses, and other important information. Until each of you reports back with that information, our hands are tied on even getting things to people that answered the surveys in short order.
So if you answered the survey and you want your stuff, pressure your friends that backed us to get their surveys in! Private emails have gone out to those that have yet to let us know how we can get them their stuff.
Thanks again for supporting us! It's great to be a barbershopper.

Update #5: We did it!
Somehow, we did it! We met our goal of raising $6,500 and, somehow-er, exceeded it. In total, we were able to raise $7,255! We in the KVU cannot express how grateful we are that you chose to support us in any way you could.
So what happens now?
Here within the next few days, you'll be getting a simple survey with regards to whatever reward plateau you selected when you made your pledge. Then we can start getting you what you came here to get.
Again, we are beyond grateful that each of you chose to support the Kentucky Vocal Union.

PS—Here's a video of the KVU singing a pretty tag.
Update #4: The Home Stretch of the Home Stretch
Well, I seem to have botched the formatting of yesterday's update a little bit, so I've updated it to make it more readable and will attach a KVU-related video on this one to atone for any grief the previous formatting may have caused.
We're 48 hours and a few minutes away from the end of the project. This Kickstarter drive will end on Thursday at 5:21 p.m. eastern standard time. We're just under $5,000 right now, and our goal is $6,500; even since last night's update, we've gotten a few wonderfully generous pledges that have helped greatly. We're still hopeful a few more big ones will come through to put us over the top, but keep telling your friends and family to support a worthwhile cause and get some cool stuff in return!
So post the Kickstarter page (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1011454155/the-kentucky-vocal-union-international-bound) or this update (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1011454155/the-kentucky-vocal-union-international-bound/posts/165965) to your Facebook if you don't mind, and send an email to a few friends that may be interested in supporting local arts with an international ambition.
I don't want to flood your inboces (plural of "inbox") with updates, so this will likely be the last before Thursday at 5:21 p.m. according to my timepiece here in Lexington, Ky.
If you have any questions, or if you anticipate any potential backers would have any questions, my personal email address is below.
I hope I talk to you next with good news!

PS—Here's video of four KVU members, myself included, singing a song that's supposed to be three-and-a-half minutes in less than a minute instead.
