I'm wondering if you are concerned at all about the nature of the scene making all the work you have done so far irrelevant the longer you wait to go into post-production? The way things are so volatile, with a tournament winner one week moving into near obscurity within just a few weeks later... Isn't it possible that the people you have spent so much time focusing on will be non-entities at release the rate you are going? White-Ra will likely always be relevant because he has himself become a brand, but of all the people you have spoken to, he is probably the only one. Maybe you can tell us more about the scope of what you are trying to do so that it doesn't seem like you might be dragging the project on farther than will be helpful? How long do you intend the film to be? Is another 200 hours of footage going to add? Assuming you will be done filming after that, how can you make 300 hours of film meaningful is something feature length? I hope you don't read my questions as accusatory. I am a huge fan of the work you have done so far and am seriously concerned out of my hope for the project.

Just to say this teaser video was awesome and I am so excited to see the final result. I especially liked the choice of music and the interview with White-ra. Also, just to say the interviews seemed well produced, with little background noise, generally away from the noisey setting of the gaming floor and this worked really well! Although it might be cool to get some interviews with players right in the heat of the moment for some contrast. So glad you got all the funding you needed for your project, it's going to be awesome.

Everything you've shown us has just been fantastic. Keep pushing. I am so excited for this project. If you need any help - legwork, things that can be done electronically, administratively, (from a distance) anything at all, I'd love to volunteer some time if I can. I have a feeling this project is going to be extremely important for this community. I'd love to be able to give more than money if I can. No credits necessary! I believe in StarNation! Thanks for your work.

Just a friendly reminder - For those who pledged and are expecting to be coached by a progamer, make sure they get to at least choose the race the player who will coach them is! It would be kinda silly if you are protoss and get coached by eg Select or Spanishiwa ;)

glhf! Coming back from the NASL finals last weekend, I was amazed and humbled at the power of e-sports. Meeting people from all over the world, making friends, and having awesome conversations because of this game. The SC2 community is so amazing, I hope you can show not only its humility and passion, but also its potential.

95% the money I earn goes to paying off my student loans. The little bit left I tend to either save or spend on family or friends. I haven't much to spend on things that I consider to be frivolous. That being said, I've had my eye's on Star Nation since it was first announced. And honestly I really admire the ambition of the Star Nation team to take a chance on creating something that will bring a fresh and unique perspective into SC2 and development of esports around the world. This project has the potential to do great things for the game and esports and that is something I want to be a part of however small the role. Best of luck. GLHF

Heya man you should check out Reddit SC2 page, I know its a very active SC2 page, and a good website to boot. Check out Rebel FM, Geekbox, Gamespy Debrefings ( I think we listened to them here at the nursery) these podcast talk about gaming quite and bit and they have an open letter/ comments at the end of there podcasts, shoot em a letter and possibly get some free pub. Anyways good luck! Speaking of SC2 i'm gunna pop it in now and play!

Fantastic start! What's really coming through in the teasers is everyone's passion. Not just to win, but to share in the SC experience. Besides the tournaments themselves, there are the casters, the players streaming games every night, the coaching, and of course the long legacy in Korea. So many facets to how people are able to pursue this passion, and in some cases make a living from it. Looking forward to seeing this all told.

Pledged yesterday, really looking forward to following the project. I just finished watching the Frag Movie, and was quite surprised to see how the gaming industry works in some ways. I would really want to know if there is some of the same stuff running around in the SC2 world, or if the teams have gotten their shit together and taking care of their players instead of abusing them. Because while watching Frag Movie, coming from an SC2 point of view, all that evil Frag movie portrais seems pretty far away from the world of gaming I'm used to.

So yeah, hope you'll look into this subject as well as showing how awesome Starcraft is.

      Good luck!

Loving where this is going and I've already donated.
I'm positive if the SC2 community heard about the new funding goal abroad you'd be able to achieve it quickly, adding the Korean scene in particular would really truly complete this documentary, looking at the GSL and rapidly growing new SC2 pro-houses taking over from BW stalwarts like KT or SKT1.

Heard about this on State of the Game, Geoff's last episode as a host and I had to check it out on TL. I saw the trailer and felt that such a project is needed for the gaming community at large, not just Star Craft 2. I do not feel as if the media at large does the growing community justice, so I decided to pledge. Even if the goal was reached, I believe I still would have since it is very rare to be able to contribute back to the community and culture I enjoy. GG GL HF
