Have the DVDs been posted yet? Should I just download it via a torrent? Get your *expletive removed* together!
Creator Doug Burns on February 11
If I order the DVD online will it arrive sooner than the one promised at pledge?
Creator Bryan Bean on January 30
You know, you guys are part of something important here (and by extension, I am to a small degree). This is history, and we're on the right side of it. It feels good.

We are ready to support FrackNation II.

I look forward to seeing it, if I can catch it either in Boston, Hanover, or perhaps someday via Netflix. Best of luck!

Hello, everyone. After our TV premiere January 22 at 9p ET on AXS TV, we'll send out DVDs and other backer rewards. We expect them to ship on February 1. Thanks for your support!
Creator Barry O'Meara on January 4
Guys I thought with the money I donated I get a copy?
Creator Stan Kerr on December 31
Good news on the opening; I'm eager to see the film. You need to get FrackNation listed in the movie databases like IMDB. Set up a twitter campaign. Go on Fox News's Redeye and do a goofy interview. Do a concerted attack on 'Promised Land' now that it's out.
Creator Todd and Amanda Smith on December 17
I am very excited for the premier :) I am glad that it took y'all a little longer than planned, giving you plenty of time to get as much as you can into this film. When can we get us some fracking brilliant shirts?? :)

How can I get you my new/updated address to ship the DVD once ready? The contact us form at annandphelim.com isnt working!
Creator Ann and Phelim Media LLC on November 27
Sorry for any miscommunication. We try to reach people through multiple channels, but it looks like we missed some folks. Our bad! We'll do better moving forward.
We released a Kickstarter update on September 6, 2012 about the release delay. The story of fracking is constantly evolving and we want to make sure we're addressing all the necessary issues. We now expect a release in early 2013. That's when we expect to send the DVDs as well. Here's a link to the post: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1009530098/fracknation/posts/303079
We'll continue to post news updates here both about the status of the film and about other breaking news, but for the absolute latest information (and to contribute to our growing community) please follow us on Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/FrackNation) or like us on Facebook (http://www.fb.com/FrackNation).
Again, we're sorry for any communication issues. We sincerely appreciate your support!
Creator Zeddock Miller on November 26
I think you are short-sighted to NOT update Kickstarter with a little information as to why you have not updated or produced anything. This approach gives credibility to those who suggest that anyone with the OG industry is just out for the buck.
Please address this! I am a backer and would like to see you successful.
Creator Mark Gorman on November 16, 2012
I'm also among those that contributed, but haven't heard of any developments or received a copy of the film (assuming there is one).
Creator PhilM on November 16, 2012
Hmmm, this is starting to smell like the work of another opportunist taking advantage of the fracking controversy. I guess the next movie will be an in depth on the Immigration issue...no wait...an expose on fraud during the Superstorm Sandy recovery. Maybe get Geraldo to do the voice overs...
I suppose the moral to the story is to not let one disappointment ruin our faith in the possibilities of mini/micro funding.
Creator Jeannine on November 15, 2012
Not sure if you even read these comments. The contact form on your website is broken. I am like everyone else on this page and would like to know the status of the DVD that never arrived. Please respond to the comments and give us an update.
Creator Allie Connelly on November 15, 2012
Any word on release date for the film? I also request an update on an esimated release date, make our donations worth it!
Creator Paul Murphy on November 12, 2012
Please update us on your progress. Your page said the movie would be done in June.
Creator Chris on November 2, 2012
Very disappointed in this project. That is a lot of money to collect and then not deliver the rewards.
Creator Robert Herron on November 1, 2012
November and no updates on when the movie will be released. What is going on? We need to know what is happening and what stage the project is at.
Creator Bob Arnold on October 21, 2012
Greetings. When can we get an expected date on the film we donated to? When did production start? How much is in the "can"? At what point are you in production: 50%, 10%, 95%? Any update would be at a minimum good faith to all your supporters. This should be a two way street.
Creator Zeddock Miller on October 8, 2012
Please give us some feedback on the estimated completion? I have been in production myself and understand a date slipping especially given the challenges and push-back on this. But I would like some better communication on the situation please?

Hi
just like to say congratulations on sailing past the funding target.
One thing I'd quite like is a web page to link my friends to beyond the http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1009530098/fracknation .
Is there any plan for say a FrackNation blog ?
A little official graphic (I'm a FrackNation Film Producer) for putting on my blog / web sites with my Funder ID on it would be good :-)
Creator Joe Smith on April 5, 2012

Creator liam jeory on April 5, 2012
If this movie helps some politicians grow a spine and actually stand up to the 'environmental movement' it will have done a great thing. just when the world seems to have found an answer to peak oil, along comes the movement seeking to impose never ending moratoriums (under the precautionary principle) in order to halt development. i hope a combination of real science and real people might help real politicians make real decisions. And where genuine concerns are found, use science to find solutions. Delighted to help on such a vital project.
Creator Robin Fehrenbach Scala on April 5, 2012
Just think what the total would be if all the people who have no computer and don't know about the film yet were able to contribute... Out here in the sticks of PA and NY, there are many older folks who are not online, so they miss these communications. However, they are the backbone of the pro-gas community and would jump in if they knew. This just tells me how important a project the film is, and how many people feel the need to get the truth out.
Can't wait to see the final total. Best of luck!
Creator Brian Lee Gnad on April 5, 2012
You broke $200K!
Congratulations guys!
Creator Ceri Dingle on April 5, 2012
I run a UK charity and have been consistently impressed and learnt much from the films this inimitable team have produced. They have a proven history of making films which, with no ifs or buts, put people's needs first. This film promises to engage and educate and I look forward to seeing it. If I had more money you could have more and I hope for the final count down, many more people will back your vital endeavour.
Creator Bryan Bean on April 5, 2012
Just bumped up my pledge to the next level, $35! And that's really saying something, considering what a cheapskate, er, thrifty fellow I am.
Creator inge grafe-kieklak on April 5, 2012

Creator Roland Ziegler on April 5, 2012
Ann and Phelim, you'd think about a german subtitled version of your film or even a german translated edition for the german market. Always have in mind that the green propaganda movement originally came from my country! And we sponsore that nonsense with public founding forther and forther on.
Creator philvisreturns on April 4, 2012
This is an important film, I can't wait to see it.

Thanks for this project. First time I've heard of Kickstarter, but it won't be the last. I'm so glad you guys have been successful!

I've always wished I could be more involved to combat all the lies being spread by the new green religion. Thank you so much for taking the fight to them and protecting our freedoms.
Creator Brandon N. on March 25, 2012
I'm no "senior executive," but I'd like to address update #5.
So you're going to be able to proudly say that your film was funded without major backing from the oil and gas industry. Hooray. Do you really think you won't still receive ad hominem attacks that have nothing at all to do with answering the technical questions at hand? Remember your previous film? You'll be accused of bias by some folks straight away no matter who backs you. You're already running scared from them before you're even out of the gate.
If the truth really matters, and it does to many - just not the loud ones, then it shouldn't matter who backs you.
I get that politics are politics, but it just perpetuates the fact that this isn't about truth or facts, it's just politics. And that moves the whole debate another notch lower.
Still and all, best of luck with this project.
Creator Terry McMurry on March 25, 2012
Phelim, I saw your post on fb about being up to do Fox and Friends otherwise I wouldn't have known about Kickstarter. I wish you and Ann the best on this film. You guys are great!
Creator Brandon N. on March 25, 2012
I am a petroleum engineer working for a small independent producer. I want to call attention to a peer-reviewed paper that has been published by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE 145949, "Hydraulic Fracture-Height Growth: Real Data") that deals head-on with the technical issue of "height growth" of hydraulic fractures in shale reservoirs: Do the fractures actually "grow" from their point of entry in the shale layer high enough to connect with shallow fresh-water layers?
Believe it or not, my industry actually pays various companies, including the company whose employees authored the subject paper - Pinnacle, to monitor the actual pumping of hydraulic fractures. They use numerous sensitive microphones that are arrayed vertically in nearby wells while a hydraulic fracture is pumped into another well. In this way, the downhole microphones, or geophones, pick up the micropops and microcracks that occur during pumping. From the data collected they can actually tell their customers how much height and length and complexity they achieved with their frac treatment. The customers then use that data to improve the efficiency of their frac designs. Fracs are expensive and operators want to make sure they are improving flow in the hydrocarbon-bearing layers as much as possible. Billions of dollars are spent just on this kind of monitoring because excessive height growth can cause a hydraulic fracture to connect up a saltwater-bearing layer that is adjacent to the target layer. The need to dispose of such saltwater can cause a well to become uneconomic to produce.
Well... Pinnacle compiled their data from thousands of such monitoring jobs over many years (before and after fracturing was in the news) in numerous high profile shale areas including the Marcellus shale (notable exception: New York, which has enacted a moratorium). Their compilation of actual measured frac height data showed conclusively that hydraulic fractures do not grow nearly high enough to reach even the deepest fresh water layers.
But look, I'm not kidding myself that those who are so fond of that movie (whose title I won't dignify with a mention) care a lick about such actual measured data. For them it's just politics and, hey, if a few bedrock scientific principles get broken in the process then so be it - "that's politics". But there are millions of others out there who may be concerned but have yet to drink the proverbial Kool-Aid offered by that movie. For them, I hope the facts that are promised in this film and those presented in the subject paper and other places will be enough. My industry takes groundwater protection seriously as evidenced by no less than billions of dollars spent to that effect each year. It is designed into every well we drill and every bit of work we do to the well after it's drilled.
Best of luck with this project!
