Liberate Apparel was dreamt up this past year after Jackie King and Melanie Hunley spent much of their year traveling back and forth to the Dominican Republic and Haiti.  They built relationships and began to hear the heartbreaking stories of peoples struggles to survive.  They decided to use their loves for fashion, business and creativity and mix it with their passion to help others.  This dream became Liberate Apparel.  The idea of liberating women from the bonds of poverty and empowering them to dream again.  

Liberate Apparel is launching their first line in the United States in Fall 2012.  All clothes will be made in the Dominican Republic and Haiti by women who have now been given the opportunity to provide for themselves and their families.
