Roof Progress!
The roof is coming along and thanks to Tom and Dale for doing such a great job with the craziness up there! The structure has been restored! The metal roof from the 1950's is off and carefully set aside to become the interior ceiling. The big surprise was when the metal roof came off, there was a thick layer of coal dust under it! We are now all covered in black dust from the Pine Grove train era. The 1907 shake roof is also off and I am almost done sorting out the good shakes to be reused for other projects. As of today, half the roof now has new plywood sheeting and the other half will be done tomorrow... exhausted, but excited about the progress.
