Spinks just wants to be left alone in darkness. Little does he know, his peaceful tranquility is about to be ended...forever.
DARED! is an action/comedy about America's convoluted view of drugs. Take Aronofsky's REQUIEM FOR A DREAM, add mood, character, and pace from THE DARK KNIGHT, sprinkle in some tone (and the greatest character portrait of all time: "...sapping our precious bodily fluids.") from DR STRANGELOVE, and put that all to one of Nat King Cole's christmas classics and you've got it.
That may seem like a stretch but here's how we're gonna do it...
A small crew made up of multi-talented Austin-based filmmakers will shoot the film over two days in early december in Smithville, TX. We'll shoot on 2 Canon 7D's and a panasonic HPX with a full set of prime lenses and a good light/grip package. Most of the movie is shot handheld which will allow for more freedom for our talented actors. Besides a talented cast and crew, we're going to pull off some big things stylistically including complicated camera moves, bold lighting, and a very serious gun fight. None of this is cheap but we've got the right people to do it and I'm confident we will exceed expectations.

You will also receive a DVD of the film when it's released! EX: Mary emails me a picture of herself along with the words "TREE" and "FLY". A couple weeks later, Mary gets a set of storyboards depicting her being chased up a tree by a bunch of flying squirrels in the mail. Easy Peesey! You will also be credited as an ASSOCIATE PRODUCER in the film's credits.

You will also be credited as an EXECUTIVE PRODUCER in the film's credits and receive a DVD of the film when it's released!
