Update #11: What are the 39 steps?
I guess Hitchcock never really told us.
However, there are only 39 days remaining to raise the $15,000 that will allow us to complete Faisal Goes West and take it to audiences around the world. Just as we came together to make production possible, we are once again believing in people around the world to believe in us.
We've enjoyed such an energetic buzz around the film after a couple promotional events in London this past week.
As we're in a push for post-production funds via IndieGoGo, the warm response to the film's trailer (plus some sneak footage from the yet-to-be-finished film) couldn't have come at a more opportune time.
Many have mentioned hosting fundraisers in different parts of the world--everywhere from Australia to UAE to Canada--in support of the film. We have already witnessed this as a wonderful way to bring together people who share a passion to see art transcend political, cultural, and geographical boundaries. If you think this is something that could be successful in your area, please let us know
Take a couple minutes to visit the IndieGoGo page and to think about who among your friends, family and colleagues would like to be a part of our multicultural, multilingual, independent film. A film that has brought us all together and has the power to reach so many more!
Let's keep the momentum up. We're almost there.
With much Faisal love,
Bentley
Update #10: Faisal Goes to London
Greetings, all!
Some members of the Faisal team (I'm one of them) will be presenting in London this Saturday.
We'll be showing a speak peek scene from the film and discussing the international indie filmmaking process. Would love your support if you're in the area--and if you're not, please take a couple minutes to pass word along to friends and family who are!
3pm, Saturday, 24 March
The Africa Centre
38 King Street, Covent Garden, London
Long live Faisal.
