Update #3: LAST 12 HOURS = CRUNCH TIME!
We've got less than 12 hours to go til our crowdsourced funding experiment concludes. We've been fortunate to receive the support of more than 40 people for more than $2,000 already! Thanks sooo much to everybody who has already backed our project thus far!
Now, we need your help to get us to $2,500! Please spread the word to anybody that could have an interest to support our mission before our time runs out at 11:59pm tonight. Let's make our final push a success!
Update #2: FOUR days to go!
FOUR days to go! We've got upwards of 30 backers & $1,600! Thanks so much to everyone who has helped in any way thus far.
Did I mention we have FOUR days to go? Our own startup has been 100% bootstrapped to date. To date, every dime spent has come out of our pockets...and our pockets aren't very deep. We feel a bit awkward asking people to support our mission, but we look at what Paste Magazine did recently (raised $250,000 from their own "fans"), and we don't feel as bad :)
Although somewhat ambitious with only 4 days to go, our goal remains $2,500. We're also hoping to get upwards of 50 people to pledge. At the very least, let's hit one of those goals!
Please (pretty please) tell your friends & family about our mission to create a resource that EVERYONE can benefit from, whether they are the most passive music consumer or the most diehard music fanatic. We've got FOUR more days!

Update #1: Awesome!
We're THRILLED to see we've already reached our initial goal of $1,000 in just a week!! Thanks to everyone who has supported our cause thus far, specifically our big donors: William Akers, Zena Rubin, Dorla Adams & Bob Bradley (who put us over the top)!
Still, no stopping now! We have over three weeks remaining to raise some more. We're setting our sights on a new goal of $2,500. If we're able to reach this goal, we should be able to scale the site however is best for our growth. For example, if we think it's the right time to open the website to the public, we should be able to handle the increase in traffic (that'd surely be a good thing)!
