The Backstory:
Once a dreamer of pitching for the Atlanta Braves, I quickly turned musician during my college years. I started playing local bars and parties until the day someone said, " You need to do something with that". So I moved to Atlanta to be at the center of the ant hill, playing whatever gigs I could find around town to pay my rent. I made a solo record on my own to get my music into peoples cd players, and slowly started branching out to different cities in the Southeast with my music. Everywhere I traveled, I received positive energy and feedback, and that was enough for me to know that "my career" had been found.
I soon banded some college friends together in an Alternative effort. We called ourselves ILLBREAK, and signed a deal with a Universal affiliate almost immediately. We toured with great bands like Staind, 3 Doors Down, Breaking Benjamin etc....but something never felt quite right. Don't get me wrong, I loved every minute of the party at hand, but my voice was not comfortable and neither was I. When Hurricane Katrina wiped out our Biloxi based label the very week our record was to be released, it was a sign from the Heavens. And I went out on my own.
The New Record:
At this point in my life, 28, I have made 3 records: 2 solo, and 1 with ILLBREAK. After the guys and I parted ways, I turned all my attention back to writing honest, heartfelt songs...focusing on making genuine connections in this wonderful world we get to play in.
The new record was recorded with my friend, talented producer and musician, Clay Cook. I love this record. And I know my fans will appreciate the hard work we put into it to make it happen.
In Search of Helping Hands:
Making a real connection with my supporters is what led me here today. After all, patronage is a huge key to success in artistic expression and Kickstarter has allowed me this opportunity to find patronage and support through you- my friends and fans. I have almost completed my 3rd solo effort now, and I am looking to put a big push behind this record. Any help this site and you can offer, would be a blessing to my goals and dreams. I look forward to sharing this experience with you. I can't do it without you. Thank you and big love to you all.
