Douglas Pritchard, founder of StarfieldStudios.com is the writer & director of numerous award winning film & television projects. Douglas Pritchard is currently finishing post production on two short horror films: "The Shed," and "Inner Beauty." Both films are slated for use in the upcoming horror/thriller anthology style feature film entitled “The Manslaughter.”
Mr. Pritchard is also acting as a producer for the upcoming feature length documentary entitled "Noise - The Tinnitus Feature Film."
Starfield Studios recently provided the orchestrator, score coordinator, orchestra contractor, and music preparation services for the feature horror film "Cassadaga." They also provided the studio resources and production support to help with the production of the newly released dramatic feature "The Whisper Home."
Mr. Pritchard recently performed as a musician on the soundtrack for Quentin Tarantino’s remake of "Inglorious Basterds" which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture of the Year in 2009. In addition, he also performed live with John Williams and the Orlando Philharmonic for the grand opening of "Harry Potter's Wizarding World" at Universal Studios.
Mr, Pritchard has also performed live with numerous celebrities including Pavorotti, Andrea Bocelli, Johhny Mathis, Henry Mancini, Kyle Cook of "Matchbox 20", "Styx," "Duran Duran" and more.
Mr. Pritchard has also recorded on several Platinum selling albums including works by Sarah Brightman, ("La Luna" DVD), Ginuwine ("Ginuwine, Ginuwine") Julio Iglesias and Simone on the Angel, Sony, Summit and other record labels.
Mr. Pritchard got his start in the film biz as an actor/musician, appearing in a live orchestra scene with Roy Scheider for a "Sea Quest" episode filmed in the early nineties.
