I’m David Tuck, and I’m an easy guy to please. I love my motorcycle, smoking cigars, and I really really really love making movies. You’re here because I’m filming my first feature-length script, “Hank In Time” from February-March 2010.
I grew up in El Paso, TX, where, as a kid, I never thought I’d make a movie. There are very few film opportunities there; I didn’t know anyone who worked in the industry.
About 12 years ago, I moved to Austin, where I now work full-time and study filmmaking after hours with Steve Mims through Austin FilmWorks.
I’ve worked on 16 short films in two years, including the award-winning “Small Changes,” which won the Grand Jury Prize in the 2009 Intelligent Use of Water film competition. That film, plus my short film "Poor Mark," was screened at the Getty Center in Los Angeles.
I’m psyched to be starting my first feature-length film project, the big moment that every filmmaker dreams of.
